okay ma
pls how do i check my breast for it n if i do have it on them how do i get rid of it.
n can a four month old use coconut oil.
thanks for replying

I think some of the signs are itching, and swelling, though I think best way is to check with the hospital.Cos treatment is mostly drugs or topical ointment.

About coconut oil,my neighbour used it for her 2months old, just be sure its original...If you've cleaned the mouth like a mama suggested and its still there, then its probably thrush and it gives babies discomfort... So ensure you use soft cloth and gently apply the coconut oil

Hey fam, my 19weeks old daughter has uneven folds on her thighs(3 on the left, 2 on the right). I'm worried sick because I have read that if the folds are not equal on both legs, that it could be a sign of hip dislocation (developmental dysplasia of the hip)... Anyone on here whose child has had folds on the thighs that are not same number/even and has no problem with walking or crawling please do reply me and allay my anxiety. Thanks

Yes o... I have tried. She seems to take it but as soon as she solid enters her mouth, she spits it out.
I'll keep trying sha, cos she seems to like beans

Giddyperson:

As long as the food can go in a bottle, let her be, saves more time and she gets to eat more. Have you tried giving her rice or other solids with spoon

Good day beautiful mothers in the house, I'm new here shocked
@goldenheart002
At that age they are always like that, especially boys. You need to always look at the bright side, that your child is active.

Whenever you want him to sleep, you ensure he's well fed, take him to the room (especiallythe room where he doesn't have access to things he can play with), lock the door so that he won't be able to leave, no TV, but fresh air. Give him a toy like building blocks, play music (if he loves it), you can allow him watch educating cartoons on your phone (if he won't smash it) and act as if you're sleeping also.

I hope this Wii work.

Hello mamas, am new here. I am a second time mum, had my baby a month ago. Please what brand of diaper is good. Background story - I used US little snugglers for my first son when I had him stocked up a lot that lasted 12months before I tried molfix, Pampers baby dry, but didn't like any of them. I eventually settled for Pampers premium care, which seemed ok. Now on to the second baby, the baby sizes of the US diapers I had left from 3 years ago can't be used, because I still had them in their boxes, even the yellow indicator has changed colour i guess cos of the heat. So am out looking for options, I want something similar to the US huggies brand that absorbs well, any recommendations please.

My baby also had uneven folds during her 8 weeks check with the maternal childhealth nurse. She recommended an ultrasound for her hips to eliminate this hip dislocation. I did an ultrasound every 6 weeks for three times till 26 weeks and the doctor eventually said her hips were normal and the creases were mostly due to fat. So i will advise you check this out as it can be corrected if detected early and also to comfort you as it may just be normal and due to fat too.

Oral thrush is a fungal infection of the mouth caused by Candida, the same microorganism that causes vaginal thrush.

Various factors lead to thrush, including general low immunity and what you mentioned (bad microorganisms outweighing the good). However, the bad microorganisms may still be present. A doctor will be able to swab, culture and assess exactly what is growing in order to address the thrush once and for all

At the end of the day, especially in infants, I will always suggest seeing a medical personnel rather than home remedies

franashi:
mommy, antibiotics is one of the cause she doesn't need it pls. Google it pls. While trying to get rid of the bad bacteria our body with antibiotics, some of these antibiotics get rid of the good bacteria also in the body

Hello beautiful mummies, please is it proper to sit a week old for picture. I attended a friend naming ceremony and she sat her 1 week old baby for picture. I told her it will affect the baby spinal cord but she said nothing will happen. Is it true nothing will happen to the baby? Thanks for your reply
