Democracy Is Oppressive. by panafrican(op): 12:20am On May 30, 2019

Being in a democracy means you are doomed to be ruled by any majority , even if that majority has no clue when its comes to how to make things work.
The majority can be drug-addicted, nepotist, corrupt, lazy alcoholic, even homosexual, you have got to submit to their votes.
Too bad.
A smart dictator Is way better than a democratic System.

I don't understand this Panafrican o. Do you know North Korea has concentration camps where people are forced to do harsh labour? The media is censored, they are not allowed to watch foreign media or surf foreign websites. No body dare criticize Kim. That place is hell. Democracy is the best it has its own flaws tho. You talked about free housing and the rest it has nothing to do with democracy they are the fruits of Communism as a mode of production.

You mean ‘good’ dictatorship is better than ‘bad’ democracy? Obviously, but if you’ve heard of the saying ‘absolute power corrupts absolutely’ you’ll know that it’s just human nature to eventually get intoxicated on power, the chances of finding a benevolent dictator are too slim to take the gamble so it’s better to ‘share’ the power of government.

People just want good governance

he said a smart dictator, Kim is not a smart person u just don't know. Gaddafi was about the only one that came close enough to smart dictatorship.

I totally agree with your first paragraph. A bad individual can gain votes of majority via emotion, religion or whatsoever. Getting the highest number of votes doesn't necessarily translate to having the best interest of them at heart.
I disagree with your last paragraph, no matter how nice the dictatorship, having the opportunity as an individual to be able to have a choice and say in who leads you means a lot.
