You know ticket prices are quite high at the moment and people prefer to learn from this thread and not give back to people who needed to learn.
As per your trip, I believe your intending Airline is Emirates and if it will be flying from Abuja I believe the Emirates Connect is possible, if from Lagos I think you should do the 3 days transit.
By the way which City are you flying to?

I learnt I can book the Visa via their website directly so far I have a ticket.

I will be entering thru LA...then find my way round till I reach NY before departing back to Abuja.

@Seyewest

Is 3 days Transit possible?

I thought the maximum you’re allowed is two days?

I booked my Trip for December back to Nigeria with Etihad Airways & was granted the Abu Dubai Stopover

My trip is New York ~ London ~ Abu Dhabi ~ Lagos

I will arrive Abu Dhabi on Wednesday Morning & then leave for Lagos on Friday Morning...

So technically I only got two days...

@Seyewest

Do you still assist people with obtaining a Dubai Visit Visa?

Me & my girlfriend will be visiting Dubai early next year & she needs a Visa since she’s a Nigerian Citizen while I don’t need one since I’m a United States Citizen.

Like how much will a Travel Package including Visa, Flight & Accommodation cost both of us for a two weeks vacation stay in Dubai & are there any discounts available?

Make sense if that's what you want to do, book the flight first (remember to do advance booking so you can include the 3 days in your ticket) and call them or visit their office for them to do the booking.

Transit visa is for 72 hours which is 3 days, maybe you should have called them before booking the flight for verification. ( I know about Emirates not so sure of Etihad)

There is actually a 96hrs transit Visa which is 4 days. I will be doing that. It costs about $30.

Hello, I am glad I found this thread, I am in a dilemma, I am going on F1 visa to US, I was trying to save costs so I booked Lagos to New York, then plan to book local flight from New York to Columbus, even from Nigeria oh, the issue is that a senior colleague in the states said it's not safe as immigration officer might say Why didn't I book directly to Columbus?

My flight agent said I should tell them I was trying to get cheaper tickets,then I should show them the local flight ticket, that it is enough evidence to convince the immigration officer, but I am scared.

6 weeks can work, sure why not just make sure you have a letter authorizing the 6 weeks leave from your company with you on your way to U.S (For POE)

This should be easy if you can provide them with evidence of your school holiday and make sure you explain yourself clearly that is if they even ask about how long you plan to spend in the States.

Fortunately for you can get a ticket for Detroit in JFK if it's cheap but if not that means your domestic flight will leave from LGA. There's no subway or train that goes directly to LaGuardia. Instead, you need to follow one of these options. While JFK is only about 10 miles from LaGuardia Airport, it can cost up to $45 with a private car service or taxi between both airports. Fortunately, there is NYC Airporter, the only airport bus authorized by The Port Authority of NY & NJ. For only $17, you can board from all terminals at both. Travel time is about 1 hr, remember NYC traffic can be hectic, so please allow for extra travel time between flights.

@seyewest and others, correct me if am wrong. JFK is a hub for those planning to emigrate illegally to Canada. I have read stories of those sent back from there cos they had no tickets to their proposed destination. So basically am saying if he is to enter through JFK he should have Detroit ticket on him to avoid story.
