A middle-aged man identified as John Chukwudi was shot dead at the Polytechnic community of Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.

He was shot six times at a relaxation spot. He was a senior administrative staff of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku.

Witnesses say he was shot at close range by the assailants and monitored until he bled out.

Adeyinka Adeleke, Commissioner of Police, said that information about the incident was still scanty.

He assured that the case would be investigated thoroughly.
