I'm looking for a good performance car to buy and the acura tl type s is at the top of my list. What are the pros and cons of the car in terms of reliability, maintenance cost, availability of parts and luxury. My budget is 1.5m-2m for a clean registered one or toks if possible.

You should. Those cars are enthusiasts favorites and will be regarded as classics in the future, especially the manuals. Take care of them, and they'll take care of you. That J35 is a gem.

Reliability: Very reliable
Maintenance cost: Average
Parts availability: Reasonably. Shares some parts with the Accord, I believe.
Luxury: More luxurious than a C Class of the same year.

Not a car expert..... but from observations a d the little I heard... I think that car has problems. Many are no longer on the road.... they are pretty rare.

not that particular year, just 2nd generation 99-03 had a sensitive gear.

the year he is picking is ok, it's rear because of it's basic shape and Acura has always had rear presence on our roads.

Transmission issues were fixed on the TL for MY07.
