Liberia Blocks Social Media Amid Anti-corruption Protests by Mandynews(op): 8:32pm On Jun 07, 2019
Reports sighted by MandyNews.com says that Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and messaging app WhatsApp have been blocked by internet providers in Liberia as of Friday 7 June 2019, according to real-time network measurement data from the NetBlocks internet observatory.

The nationwide disruptions come as Monrovians take to the streets to participate in Save The State protests against alleged state corruption.
Liberia’s leading wireless internet provider Lonestar also restricted access to social media as well as Google’s Gmail service and news agency AP News, which covered this morning’s events and censorship during the Save the Stateprotests in Monrovia. Network data confirms that the new censorship measure is targeted, while other news sites remain available to Lonestar subscribers:

Looks like Africa is imploding.

Na Sudan own we still dey talk about.

Just when we thought a young president will be different, looks like state resources are being kicked like a football into a net.

If this happened in Nigeria, Nigerians will keep quiet and go back into the stone age.

Daily corruption but we still don't do anything.

He's dating Ms Omosede Igbinedion, daughter of Chief Gabriel Igbenedion.

Who knows if she might be asking G. Weah to loot tongue
