Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode on his twitter handle congratulate Ahmed Lawan, the Senate representing Yobe North as he emerged the Senate President of the ninth National assembly. He defeated Ali Ndume to turn into the Senate President.

He wrote;

"Congratulations to Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan who has emerged as Nigeria's Senate President. May God guide you."
