This is the horrifying moment Wendie Renard scores a shocking own goal which is being branded the "worst ever", MySportDab reports.

The France captain – given the nickname because of her dominant performances reminiscent of the Liverpool centre-back.

She got distraught after scoring a sitter own goal to level the scores at 1-1 for Norway in the Women's World Cup.

Renard was attempting to control a square ball from the left when she somehow put it into her own net in the 54th minute.

And in the process she became the first player to score an own goal for her country at a Women's World Cup.

Fans reacted on social media:

One viewer said: "Holy!, that's the worst own goal I've ever seen."

Very interesting game i must say, Norway outclassed France but I think the Referee favored France and yeah if I was to place a bet Norway female team against Manchester united, i will surely chose Norway female team for a win

Mysportsdab your videos are always crappy, you need to stay on the subject you're highlighting rather jumping from here to there.

I've noticed this over time.

Sometimes you make videos out of pictures . If you don't have a video of an event, don't claim you do, it's tacky.
