Please my nairalander,i know we have been a little busy a whole day before now and we must have been tired before now but there is a little problem I have here and right now..
I know we have mathematicians here and that I want to congratulate yu all mathematicians who are willing to help..

Please I want to find (x) in this given angle below.
I'm so tired finding this alone

Thank you lalasticlacla

55+40+x = 180
x = 85 degree in d second triangle,vertically opp angle = 85 degree sum of angle in a triangle; 85+20+x = 180 x = 75 degree then x = 75 degree vertically opposite angle
option c is the correct and

Ahaa, Olodo nie ni?? x na 40 joo, u no even need calculation self. ∆ABC = ∆EGF. Cant u see dat line BA is parallel to GE ??

NDSMELODY:
55+40+x = 180

x = 85 degree
in d second triangle,vertically opp angle = 85 degree
sum of angle in a triangle; 85+20+x = 180
x = 75 degree
then x = 75 degree vertically opposite angle

option c is the correct and
I disagree Sir, i tink d question is nt corect, pls try to use alternate angle method to solve it. i tink d question is wrong

maybe 75 degree den, been t those lines shows dey are parallel sha.

the question is not correct athernate angle is not satisfied when it has parallel line and a transversal

question is incorrect. If  = 55°, then angle D must also be 55° and x be 40°. You need no pen or paper for this

Nothing is wrong with d question..any one with explanatory solution shld post it...poster of d questn shld pls correct d work if there is any error but if otherwise 75 degree is d ans then

The maths bosses has spoken, you still day argue?.
Even a JSS1 student can detect the error in that question.

This question was set by someone with no sound knowledge of basic geometry.

Since alternate interior angles are congruent,
∠BAD ≅ ∠ADE and ∠ABC ≅ ∠BGD

Given this, it's incorrect to state that
m(∠BAD) ≠ m(∠ADE)

Either the measures of both angles is 55° or 20°, ie. either m(∠BAD) = m(∠ADE) = 55° or m(∠BAD) = m(∠ADE) = 20°. Choose one.

If m(∠ABC) = 40°, then m(∠BGD) = 40°.

Since vertical angles are congruent, then
∠BGD ≅ ∠EGF
This means that m(∠BGD) = m(∠EGF) = 40°

A shortcut approach is to observe that ∠ABC and ∠EGF are corresponding angles and corresponding angles are congruent. This means that
∠ABC ≅ ∠EGF
m(∠ABC) = m(∠EGF) = 40° (given that m(∠ABC) = 40°)
∴ m(∠EGF) = 40°
OPTION A is the answer
