If China likes let them produced 99% of smart phones in the world, they will lost their smart phone market and will be reduced to 5% if Google or Chinese government totally ban all Chinese phone makers from using Android.
Samsung and other non Chinese phones will grow fast.

Do you know why China produce more smart phone, gadgets or other techs than others?

* China do that because of cheap labour
* China produce over 80% of the rare earth resources used making modern days technology

Without these rare earth elements, you won't be using smart phone today, gadgets would be 10 times bigger than their presents size.

So Chinese manufacturers have access to the rare earth elements in abundant because the Chinese government is limiting her export to other countries to promote Chinese manufacturing companies.
The Chinese government sell cheap to you when you manufacture in China than outside China, that's why US companies and others are in China today,

But now, Australia is stepping up to produce more of the rare earth elements to counter China.

So the Chinese are selling cheap phones because they don't buy the resources the way other non Chinese company are buying.

You know China has its version of Google, Facebook and Co. Why are they not popular outside China?

If these Chinese apps like Tencent and Co are struggling outside China, how do you think the new Huawei apps would fare?

India is one of the biggest smartphone markets. They have the technical know how and the population. Other brands are warming up to displace Huawei in India and you are still talking about China.

As for manufacturing, companies in China are warming up to move to South East Asian countries like Philippines and Vietnam. That's why other Asian countries are happy cos the monopoly on production China had, they are waiting on the fringes to benefit from it.

Can't wait to get my hands of one.

Google owns the above listed brands, and many more (over 200 companies/brands fa!). The question is, are we gonna lose the above apps for Chinese alternatives? I don't understand why anyone would believe HongMeng can/will displace Google.

Uber, Taxify and Co are based on Google map frameworks. Taxify definitely won't work on Huawei and you think I would sacrifice mobility cos I want to use Huawei? No way.

Y'all should remember the days of blackberry OS, where was Android then? But today, Android has taken over. Change is constant, it won't be easy for Huawei but with time and consistency they will get there. America just want to bully China into submission, but China is as good as America interms of technology.

China has we chat, baidu and some other sites and apps. But their stronghold is still within china and at best some asian countries. Those ither asian countries still patronize whatsapp google etc.

China had to ban whatsapp and google within its domain for fear of competition and to avoid being cintrolled yet they seek to somehow manipulate and control others. Even suppress their neighbours like hong kong, taiwan and tibet

I want America to remain world power for as long as possible because this chinese can be really wicked. Their Quest and ambition is not just about technology and products but to dominate the world and a sort recolonise. They are getting strongerand bolder by the day
