I recently received calls and mail invite for interview at GZI Aba plant precisely. I am currently working in one of the leading FMCG companies in Ogun state where I reside. I initially didn't want to go for the interview considering the distance from Ogun state. But on a second thought, I said let me give it a shot.

Can anyone brief me the salary structure over there at GZI if you've worked there or knows anyone that is working there, particularly for mechanical/electrical technician job role.

This will be the motivation factor for me to embark on the long journey.

They have a factory in Ogun state precisely Agbara area. Check with them there.

GZI cans is a great coy. Technical trainee is 2.9 million per annum. After tax it's around 170 - 200k

By every means. Go for the interview and make sure you read slot about hand tools like venier caliper. Microcontrollers if you are an electrical guy

I'm a mechanical person, a machinist. I already know few things about hand tools and machine tools.

The interview went well.
Did you study mechanical engineering? Read about units, pressure, mass etc. Read heat treatment.
Be ready for mathematics, verbal and engineering test
