I have followed a lot of projects here and have truly enjoyed many threads. Have since started my project and feel its time to share with my people.

The site. All the neighboring sites had been fenced except for the front of the site . So we had to complete the fence and install a gate.

We bought 5000 blocks, 15tons of granite, 40 tons of sharp sand, 50 lengths of 12mm rebar, 25 lengths of 8mm rebar and 100bags of cement to kick-start the work.

Thank you Sir. Will share all that has been done till the stage we are now.

The site was a made-up ground and had been allowed to compact well. We still had to introduce ground beams on all walls to minimize differential settlement

Block work started on the completed ground beams.

More foundation block work.

We started backfilling while the remaining block work was going on.

Excavation to block work was completed in 15 days.

More backfilling.

We got 6" block @ #135, while cement is sold for #2500 currently. The land is 662sqm. is

Please I will beg if you can update this wonderful house the cost of each stage of work done because that alone can motivate someone out there who thinks he he/she has to own billions before they can build a house.
Some people used to do that a lot and so many people benefited from that( I benefited from that act which spurred me to build my first house) but some how no one wants to give cost break down again...... so sad �

Thanks. Will surely give a breakdown of costs at the end of each stage. Whats the point of the thread if not to motivate others and the only way to do that is to share figures.

Between 7 to 8m with moderate finishing. Would have been much lower but for the type of foundation.

Sand filling completed and formwork for DPC already installed. 36 nos 10tons truck of filling sand was used at 7k each.

Casting of DPC. Was done manually
