I see why Nigeria is backward from the comments I read here about Morsi, his short tenure, the transition from the old era down to Sisi. Nairalanders educate yourselves. This thread is a glaring display of gross ineptitude of Nigerians

He headed a terrorist organization known as the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization that is similar to MURIC in Nigeria..

Besides being banned and labelled as terrorists by authoritarian Arab regimes, has the Muslim Brotherhood been linked to any acts of terror

They hassled him till death rip. But then the egyptians never fancied his muslim brotherhood rulership

What's exactly was wrong with his leadership?
A democratic elected president that was wrongly kicked out of office by the American backed Egyptian military. are you saying the same military that's been ruling Egypt for over 30 years are supposed to be better? same military that wrongfully murdered protesters, Morsi's supporters and Morsi's party members and yet the Same military is still backed and supported by America. Morsi only crime is the fact that his political party is an Islamic party (muslim brotherhood)

His days on earth is complete.

Alll the evil politicians and leaders that raped and looted our nation and brought us to the hardship we have gone through as a nation,
The people that stole and stashed away the monies that would have developed our nation thousand of times more than the way we are...may they never end well in life.
Miserable end awaits them all.....as long as you stole from the coffers of the government, (our national treasury) whatever political party you may be now, you can never escape this.

God bless Nigeria.

So shall it be.

Morsi is just like our Abiola.
Which Abiola?

Because he wanted to turn the people's Revolution into Islamic Fundamentalism?

He was an opportunist, reaping where he didn't sow..

He was elected to rule, not to turn Egypt into a Sharia State..

It is a widely held belief that they are the ones responsible for killing Coptic Christians in Egypt.

widely held belief!!! by who? killing of Christians was not even among the reasons why the military took power away from Morsi. the government of Morsi was probably the weakest Egyptian government in a very long time. he can't even control his own army (military) yet you claim he's killing Christians. the military never recognized Morsi as their commander in chief because they were still loyal to the ex military president Mubarak

Ignore them. They won’t read, how will they learn?

Egypt practices militocrazy. The presidents are usually the military chiefs right from the time of Nasser, to Sadat, to Mubarak. The military have strong influence on the polity and who gets what politically.

Morsi was the first non-military President and therefore he was doomed from day one. Imagine charging a president for espionage. Who was he spying for?

Sisi that overthrew him has just recently amended the constitution to allow him been in power till year 2030 at least. So much for democracy
