Does it really matter what Jesus or Mohammed looked like? All that should matter is the message they brought. This debate about race would only entrench more hate and drive humanity further apart. I think this letter is a construction from biblical facts. There are only two new things in that letter which are: The complexion of Jesus and the fact that he was born on the day Romans were given peace by ..... Apart from these, others are what we already know from the bible. A letter form Pontus Pilate should have contained extra facts from what we already have in the bible. |

PFRB:I was tempted to believe same until you consider the Synoptic Gospels which were authored by different individuals, remote from each other and at different times but at the same time are portray very similar accounts of the Life of Jesus. The word Synoptic is derived from Sync and Optics, that is synchronised view or seeing together. This is why the Synoptic Gospels are very difficult to dismiss as fake. And also on the account that the authors of the gospels, wrote in a manner not appealing to their own personal attributes but rather the opposite i.e. in exposing their own personal faults and weakness compared to Jesus. Pontius Pilate account is probably the earliest documentation of Christ as he was put to death by Caesar not long after Jesus crucifixion. And it is remarkably similar to future Gospels. 1 Like |
