The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, arrested nine suspected internet fraudsters.

The suspects, ranging between the ages of 21 and 30, were apprehended at different locations at the Airport Road, Alakia Area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Following series of complaints from neighbours and victims of their alleged fraudulent activities, operatives of the Commission stormed their hideout in the early hours of Wednesday to effect their arrest.

The suspects include, Abdulmumini Fatai, Hazzan Azeez Junior, Adeleke Oluwaseyi, Atolagbe Dami Timileyin and Emmanuel Oluwaseun.

Others are Kehinde Ridwan, Alarape Sodiq, Ahmed Mufutau, and Quadri Opeyemi.

Items recovered from them, include laptops, different models of iPhones, other brands of mobile phones and several fraudulent documents suspected to be used to defraud unsuspecting people.

Further investigation is ongoing, as well as subjecting the items and documents recovered to forensic analysis.

They will soon be charged to court.

1.EFCC has been arresting crooked politicans...infact they have even sucessfully prsecuted some.

2.The reason why most don't get prosecuted is simple.

If I say we should arrest Buhari...there would be cries of 'Jihad, and Holy War' and 'Zionists are after Nigeria'

If I say we should arrest GEJ...there would be threats of 'blowing up the pipelines' and 'Hausa domination'

If I say we should arrest Tinubu...'Yoruba nation is being attacked'

If I say we should arrest any Igbo leader...'All Hail Biafra'

Arrest any Middle Belt leader 'This is the Fulanization and Islamization agenda we are talking about'

And so on....so in order to allow peace to reign, EFCC relaxes its hand...and corrupt polticans get away.

(Now all the politicans mentioned are innocent until proven guilty, and EFCC arresting someone does not mean someone is automatically guilty).

The truth is, you Nigerians don't want your corrupt politicans to be arrested, so long as they are on the same side as you are and say the things you like. Even someone like Apostle Suleiman, or those Miyetti Allah leaders that made virulent comments that could have caused more crisis in this country, or someone like Nnamdi Kanu too...that has also made such comemnts, and so on....they will never be arrested because people are prepared, even to the point of violence to defend such men.

And when your poltican wins election, you Nigerians encourage the corruption by asking for your share of the money. Actual development, you don't want.

Until Nigerians start saying that wrong is wrong and right is right....we will never see the end of corruption in our polity.
