The governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has prevented any possible casualties due to impending collapse of one the flyovers built by former governor, Rochas Okorocha.
Recall that sometime last week there were viral photos of a flyover in Owerri, the state capital which had signs of dilapidation, posing a danger to motorists and pedestrians in the state.

That flyover which is located at Orji mechanic village has now been sealed from public use by the state government.
The flyover was built by Senator representing Imo West Constituency, Rochas Okorocha while governor of the state. It has started cracking from the sides and has been blocked at the entrances with heaps of sand.

The government has also warned motorists not to ply the bridge again because it is no longer safe for use.

To do the right thing, the Governor needs to invite proven civil engineers to ascertain the structural integrity of ALL public projects undertaken by the immediate past admin' in the state, and demolish any that doesn't pass the test!

Rochas did a few good things, but by and large littered the state with ugly, pretentious and sub-standard projects! I don't envy Ihedioha right now, and wonder where he will find the money to fix the rot left for him!

Same way people condemn the way Buhari was always blaming Jonathan. I expect Nigerians to use that same viguor to condemn Iheadioha.

Rochas is a criminal. Pst Osinbajo commissioned this rogue and when we say Christians should go into politics, we don't ask them to do things as usual. You came to commission this without any attempt to ascertain the quality of the project.

Osinbajo should go and check what he commissioned in Imo State and he will regret ever going to commission project executed by Rochas.

Rochas complained about Acid rain destroying his projects but the same acid rain will not affect those of Ohakim, Sam Mbakwe and the rest of them.

To be fair to humanity, Rochas should account for the money he wasted in Imo State.

Very disappointed in Rochas the past governors didn’t do too bad rochas built China roads without drilnage anytime rainfalls in Owerri everywere will be flowded,killed education in imo state all in the name of free education I cannot think of any solid project Rochas did

The earlier you guys realize that they will start writing about you in the past very soon, the better for you to know that that you were elected to serve the people and not play politics of shaming Imo State Government.

You need to grow up and get to work. It is this same Nigeria that someone has contested for elections and won but another man served the people. Ask Yahaya Bello and Rotimi Amaechi. You will see how time flies and 24 hours, 4 years or 8 years can be like yesterday.


There are other states where the former governors have been terrible but the administration remembered that it is the people that come first. They work and wait for election time to come before they start announcing sins of the predecessor.
