I think you need this Map of Nigeria showing some Niger Delta communities with Lagos, Atlantic Ocean to be reactive. Upgrade the ports in Niger Delta communities and watch that gridlock disappear into thin air.

embarassed Is Apapa port the only port in Nigeria? Until we are ready to develop other ports then we can decongest Apapa.
Our leaders are senseless

How can our Prof VP use the word "proactive" for Apapa gridlock that has lasted for years.

He should be talking of a reactive approach that is coming several years late.

Proactive abi reactive? Looks like the word "proactive" is about to assume a new meaning.

Has our government ever been proactive about anything? No disturb my sleep abeg.
I'm really weak... proactive measures on something that's already a problem.

Please stop making excuses for these people. I doubt if they're under pressure when it's time to fly round the world or swallow their fat paychecks.

A doctor will be under pressure and do something wrong and you'll call for his head and his degree at once but people that eat half the country's wealth and enjoy apex luxury are treated with kid's gloves. If pressure tire am there's a word called resign. He should use it. Stop making excuses for ineptitude.

No jokes stop it, just stop it.

Mtcheeewww!
..
there is only ONE MEASURE to take:
Activate Onne Sea Port for general goods imports..
..
ban certain products at Lagos seaport..e.g: cars.
..
One sea port in a small state like Lagos CAN NOT handle importation of everything needed by N200 million people!
..
if Onne is too unsafe, use the NAVAL FORCES or ..
..
Finally, build a new high capacity port at Ondo or Delta state.
remove Ondo from that list. is it onlyvthe South west that have Shores? Cross river and Akwaibom has ports too. must everything be sighted in South west?

Does this guy know the meaning of ‘proactive’?

The gridlock have already happened, it is not proactive if your intended objectives is to resolve something that have already occurred.

It is only proactive, if you are trying to prevent it from happening!

There is nothing proactive about the measures if the event already occurred. Prof Osinbajo, you government is highly "reactive".
The English language that we dont truly understand is the bane of our backwardness a people. The way we understand it is similar to the way laboratories chimps are taught by oyinbos to recognize a,b,c and d. It is catastrophic to productive learning and it is the reason why education stops at lower cognitive level in nigeria;unevaluated, unanalysed and unproductive.

That muderfuker is supposedly a law professor, mind you.

lol.. Ask them O!
..
SW says there is gross "insecurity" in the niger delta, so no ports should go there.
..
thats why they re building anothe port at Lekki in the same CONGESTED Lagos state!
..
it seems PORTS is what the north compensated the west with for their treachory during the civil war.
..
