A post by an instagram user identified as Tonye Patrick Cole who boarded plane with Professor Wole Soyinka on a Business Class, narrates the story of a young passenger who asked the old Noble Laureate Prize Winner to vacate from his seat.



According to Mr Tonye Patrick Cole He classified it as lack of home training and moral decadency for a young man to have told an elderly man to stand up because he is occupying his position, nevertheless, the narrator made it known that the young actually paid for the seat.



While some were scolding and throwing lashes on the young man for his act, some still have a different opinion, according to them, the young man, has the right to claim his right and not act based on sentiment or attached feelings.

Who would blame the dude ? Youths are so angry these days .
People like Soyinka misled so many and sold us to this present administration, now we're stuck in a fix

Then again, could Soyinka not locate his position ?
Who does he think he is ? Lord of the sky ? With his entitled mentality ...

everyone have right to their own opinion, if you think the guy is wrong, who paid for the seat? the guy or our able prof, i think its a thing of understanding, when two mature people misunderstand themselves, respect is totally lost no matter who is involved.

For me I think, this guy is a Nigerian who knows his right and he stood by it..regardless... If we have daring youth as this, I believe the old political folks would toil with our intelligence

Why not advice flight operators to cancel their sitting arrangement first.

With due respect, did they fence his eyes, or how come he couldn't locate his own seat?

BTW, it seems the only pharmacy that sells chill pills in the guy's area was closed up...

Hey! Don't take a privilege as a right.
If he politely asked the young man to pls let him sit in that position, it would be a different case entirely. What if the young man actually paid to sit in that position for a reason (maybe to take aerial photos of different places).

I'm sure our prof. himself didn't become as great as he is by allowing everyone who jumps on his right to get away with it.

We all know the status quo, but it doesn't mean we must follow it even when it's wrong...

I would politely tell prof. that the seat was originally allocated to me.However, if he refuses or pleads to have the seat i would let him have it .

I firmly believe respect is earned. Regardless of people's age. It should be deemed fit that age is just a number. Respect should be reciprocated. You shouldn't say trashy words to people and expect them to throw back nice words at you,with the exception of the elderly ones. That young lad/lass you say trashy words to would grow soon enough to express his/her own mind .

I wouldn't ask him to leave.
I respect people abeg.

I hate what the guy did.

I might even leave a younger person on my seat.
