4 years ago, one of my pioneer clients, came in with a sharp Mdx 2006 with mileage @ 61,000miles. We did routine servicing which included differential oils, transmission oil coolants etc.

Fast forward 4years later and 40,000miles car came for normal servicing, I thought about the timingbelt age, but dismissed it because of the mileage. Client received a clean bill of health and headed off.

Three weeks later he was on his way to oyo when the car went off suddenly! He called and I recommend the vehicle be towed to workshop.

I was inquisitive and before I examined the car I ran the vin, (thanks to carguide) the findings were shocking!

in 2015 mileage of vehicle was 182,000miles!!

After that I examined the vehicle and confirmed the snapped timing belt and damaged valve system.

Summary, always ensure you have confirmed vehicle mileage, and replace parts according to manufacturer recommendations.
