Simple rule of thumb is to budget atleast 80% average toks price, it's an auction nothing cast in stone, if we lucky, you can spend far less

The rule of thumb is not explanatory.
1)Is it atleast 80% of the average price of repaired /good toks on sale in nigeria to be budgeted for the dented car from USA?
2)Does the 80% covers all costs including clearing?

Pls,try to always put estimated landing cost for cars you are posting here from copart.Someone may be interested in the cars

Already explained this before, a 5m tokunbo car in naija, budget 4m, I ONLY COLLECT $250 FEE, so if we set out to get a car, you not paying for a fixed fee of 4m but rather the final cost we got the car at auction....auction is unpredictable so prices NOT FIXED.
I said toks, will you set out to buy an accidented toks from naija dealer?

If we working with a budget of 4m and we conclude the deal at 3m cos we got lucky, you paying 3m and NOT the 4m budgeted, the only constant is my $250 fees. Ofcourse spending the lowest possible cost is my PRIORITY
