Dear @USMissionNGRA

I applied for B1/B2 renewal via Dropbox in May. After 6 weeks, my passport was returned with the instructions to schedule a follow-up interview under 221G category.

i have tried several times to schedule an interview but no date seems to appear on my profile.i have laid complaints via all the mails available but i still get the same generic email.

please i am very confused on what next to do as my business trip is fast approaching.

Hello Dear USMissioNGRA

Please would it be possible for a parent to attend interview with his child of 18years. She applied for B1/B2 visa.
Please note the DS160 was filled by the parent. It is also not her first visa.
Thank you

Hello Kuni2015,

If there are no available appointment slots, you will need to wait until one becomes available. Please check back frequently - we release new dates all the time.

Hello Chyomachi,

We hear you! Making sure students get interviews in a timely fashion is one of our biggest priorities. We open F1 appointment slots all the time - please continue checking! If you can't find one, please schedule for the first slot available and then request an emergency appointment on the CGI website. You can also check our wait times here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html

Yes he did, Several time's. He keeps receiving the same generic email. His H1b application was approved in the US but it seems booking appointment is now the issue. Is there an email that attends to technical issues? We need this urgently as he is to be in the US by July 1. Please help.

hello,

but its been over two weeks now and i definitely check multiple times every day even in the middle of the night.is it a selective appointment scheduling for individuals or is it a technical problem on my profile because i do not see any thing and haven't seen anything in the last two weeks

Hello USMission,
I've been trying to reapply after being previously denied in lagos as school resumes on the 12th of August. Are dates still going to be released for the previously denied. Also, can I request an emergency appointment or apply as a regular?

Hello Etherealbeing,

New appointment dates are released all the time. If you cannot get one in time for your school start date, you are welcome to schedule an appointment for the first day available and then request an emergency appointment. However, because we really want to make sure everyone gets a fair shot at an interview in time for their school start dates, we cannot guarantee that the emergency appointment request will be granted if you have recently been denied.

Can I book an appointment under the " regular " category and thereafter choose the emergency appointment. Or do I wait for dates under the "previously denied" category. Because no dates have been released for "previously denied" in a long while and I'm getting really worried. I don't know if I'll be denied for misrepresentation If I book under the regular category cry

Hello USMissionNGRA,

I commend your work here and how effective the commission has been helping out in giving answers to questions on this platform. Wishing you a happy 4th of July. Pls, I would like to know what's wrong or what I am doing wrong. I invited my mom to visit me in the states, and she has been refused a visa, twice. I have been here for more than 4 years legally and I wanted her to visit me and her grand daughter before the summer holiday os over and weather in Maryland begin to change. I am about to book another appointment for her, and It seems the dates are ahead already. Can I use the emergency appointment, and can I go ahead with the application?
Re: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We're Listening Pt. 3 by USMissionNGRA: 2:38pm On Jul 08, 2019
Hello Deefav,

There is a reason we have two different categories. If you book an appointment under the incorrect slot in an effort to get a quicker interview date, it will reflect very poorly upon you. Not only would that be deceitful and taking away an appointment slot from someone else, but it would be a waste of $160. The adjudicating officer can (and likely will) refuse you immediately for that reason alone.

Hello USMissionNGRA,

Thanks for this great platform. If I was rejected because of the hospital discount given to me when I gave birth in the US, what do I need to show as a significant change for my new application? I have called and emailed the hospital to pay up the discount but they refused.

Also am I eligible for an emergency appointment for a B2 visa for birthing purposes with a preeclampsia condition and my toddler as well (doesn't need a visa) who is scheduled for a an eye examination and surgery?

Thanks.

Hello USMissionNGRA,

I was at the US Embassy at Abuja 3 weeks ago and my F-1 visa application was approved. My statement of account was collected and I was informed I will pick up my passport in a week. It is 3 weeks after and I am yet to receive my passport. I am not sure of the status of my application. I need to make travel plans and finalize absence from work. School starts on the 8th of August. What do I need to do now? Do I go ahead planning with the intention I will get my passport in time for resumption?

Thanks.

Dear USMissionNGRA,

Please, I had a F-1 Visa interview on the 3rd of June 2019 in Abuja, during which my Visa was approved and a white 'congratulatory message' slip given. I was also told that if the submitted bank documents were fake, I would be banned from entering the USA and my B1/B2 Visa would also be canceled also.

Since then, tracking of my passport showed - passport is still with the us embassy. But for the past one week or more, it has been showing- there is no status update available for the passport submitted.

Please, I would like to know if this delay and passport tracking update normally occurs and if there is anything I can do regarding this.

Thank you.

Good day,
I wish to change my country of previous application (turkey) to Nigeria. I tried changing on the previously created profile but Nigeria was not listed as one of the countries I can change to.
How do I resolve this issue? Do I need to create a new profile with the Nigeria CGİ?
Thank you as I await your response.

Best Regards.
