But I don't understand rape. It's a crime, I know. But why would you commit a crime by forcefully and painfully joining your flesh, body fluids, spirit, ancestors, future with someone ....watching their face as their world & self esteem crashes, hearing them scream to God for your sake, because you selfishly want to gain what kind of pleasure exactly? You're also ignorant of their health status too.
The case of rape against children is more difficult for me to wrap my head around. When did we stop buying biscuit for them, or sending them to go and soak their school uniform in water to wash? Why are they seen as sexual figures?

One thing though. These rape victims, before they were raped their lives were not perfect, might have had worse life experience than the rapers. They were probably fighting a terminal illness, are probably hungry, live in abusive homes where they got beaten the day before they were raped, or are just not properly cared for. Why why why would you want to push their faces further into the mud? How can you look at yourself in the mirror?
