G20 summit: Day 2 of the annual two-day meeting has wrapped up, with a lengthy press conference by US President Donald Trump. He will now head to South Korea for another day of meetings on Sunday.
US-China trade talks to resume: Trump said he had agreed with Chinese President Xi Jinping to restart trade talks. The US leader said he would also hold off on new tariffs and allow Chinese tech giant Huawei to again buy US products.



Trump appears to soften his tone on Huawei
US President Donald Trump has appeared to soften his tone on Chinese communications giant Huawei, suggesting that he would allow the company to once again purchase US technology.

Speaking at a press conference in Osaka, Saturday, Trump said that the US sells a "tremendous amount of product" to Huawei. "That's okay, we will keep selling that product," said Trump.

"The (US) companies were not exactly happy that they couldn't sell."

The US Commerce Department formally added Huawei to the list of companies the US government considers to be undermining US interest in May.

It effectively meant that companies would need to apply for a US export license to sell to Huawei, cutting off its primary supply chain.

Trump added that while he did discuss Huawei, he didn’t talk about Huawei Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou, who is detained in Canada and facing extradition to the US.

"We did discuss Huawei but didn't discuss her situation," Trump said.

Trump is a business man, the sanctions was a way of coercing the Chinese Government to come back to the negotiating table... Chinese economy is feeling the heat at the moment! China doesn't run an open economy unlike US, they as well engage in Intellectual theft and tariffs.

Oga, Microsoft one of US tech giant still sell huawei products on its website till tomorrow, so which other open slap were you expecting... huawei-iran trade is still ongoing so abeg where is the lie?
