Breaking News: Federal govt budget $11b to lobby SE/SS for land for the Ruga Settlement

According to the intelligence report received a few hours ago. Our agent said that the Federal budget about $11b to lobby SE/SS states for a land for the Ruga Settlement project. The states include: Anambra Abia Imo Enugu Ebonyi others are Akwa Ibom. Cross River. Bayelsa. Rivers. Delta. Edo. The states will share $1b each. It is said that the federal govt have three options to get the required hectares of land needed from the two regions.

According to the report the first will be to lobby (Bribe) the influential people in each state to help convince their people on the need to have Ruga Fulani settlement in the state and also influence or force the governor to release land for the Ruga project. The states will also be lobbied with ministerial appointment, board members into choice govt parastatals etc.

The second option will be to buy hectares of land from each state through a third party. We also learnt that the govt has met with some influential people in the affected states to begin looking for large hectares of land. Some traditional rulers are said to be involved the deal.

The third option will be to take land by forcing it on the people. This, they have done in Benue state. They will do it by creating chaos and division and disagreement among the people of the states. Which may lead to arm conflict. The government will then declare state of emergency and inviting the army and forcefully take over the states and create Ruga settlement for the Fulani

The intelligence reports also revealed that Buhari travel to Saudi Arabia immediately after the inauguration was to finalise the South west land deal with Saudi Arabia planned to hand over Buhari for the Ruga Settlement. You may recall that I once mention that the Fulani already got all the land they wanted from south west through Saudi Arabia

The paramount ruler and people of Akpa/Otobi community in Otukpo Local Government Area, LGA, one of the areas designated by the Federal Government to host the proposed (Ruga) settlements for herdsmen in Benue State yesterday led his subjects in a peaceful protest in Otukpo town rejecting the proposal.

The people who came out in their numbers bearing placards with various inscriptions like ‘we do not have land for Ruga’, ‘open grazing is not allowed in Benue’ and ‘we will resist Ruga’ chanted war songs as they marched through major streets in the area.

One of the leaders of the protesters, Steve Ocheme said they embarked on the march to impress on the Federal Government the need to cancel, in the interest of peace, the decision to give their land to herdsmen.

"We are peasant farmers and we can’t grow our crops with cattle. We are calling on Federal Government to reconsider this plan in order not to throw our communities into crisis,” he said. On his part, the Acting District Head, Akpa Otobi community, Chief Ochinya Ofeka said, “we gave lands to Federal Government for dam, Research Center and for the School of Health Sciences but we don’t have for open grazing in whatever name or form."

Receiving the protesters who also handed him a protest letter, Caretaker Chairman of Otukpo LGA, Mr. George Alli appealed for calm adding, “Nigeria’s Constitution is very clear on the issue of land administration as provided for by the Land Use Act.

"And like Governor Samuel Ortom has always said, we are in full support of ranching, but we are against open grazing under any nomenclature, whether cattle colony or RUGA settlement,” Alli added.

Why is the federal government imposing the Ruga Settlement Plan on States?

Cattle husbandry is a private business of which the herdsmen should negotiate with the hosting states who will have the final rights to accept or not to accept the herdsmen.

My question is who are the Senators and House of Rep members that represent these communities? How can they in good conscience sit idly by and let their ancestral lands be taken by these invaders? If their representatives cannot do their jobs as mandated by the constitution, then they need to go on a rampage and start getting rid of the "no good SOBs." These MOFOs are paid to be representatives of their people in the Senate and House of Rep and when they can't fulfill that obligation the people need to do the next best thing...throw them out on their heads. It's heart-wrenching to see people - especially people of no means - being treated unjustly simply because they have no voice and can't advocate for themselves.
