ps3 doesn't quite emulate the ps2 though. It’s just that the first generation/early revisions of the ps3 60gb has a built in hardware of the ps2 emotion engine just like how the psp can play ps1 gAmEs through it built in engine and how the vita can play psp titles bar the umd ones and I believe the specific terms is backward compatibility like how the Xbox one can play some Xbox 360 game catalogue.

There's differences between resolutions and graphics if you don't know that then you're not a gamer at all.

Graphics is something that includes anti-aliasing, facial and character animations and special effects like water wrinkles, rain splashes etc. Do I need to explain this really?

You realize the A12X found on the present gen ipad or A12 on the equivalent gen iphone has same GPU / processing power as the Xbox one S? And for example games like NBA2k18 runs same GFX as consoles?
