Don't worry, as long as there is life there will be a way out. You could use some other experience you have, maybe your NYSC.
Eraytee:
thanks for this post God bless you, I couldn't find my NOC (2113- Geoscientists) in the employers list in the link. this is so painful for peeps in my shoes. we are so limited to options as regard to this PR thing, we dont even have PNP or whatever options available to other NOCs. only EE (FSW) is available for us. it will end in praise for us all.

Happy Sunday, amazing NLanders.
I need help. I have a peculiar work history

Internship Aug 15-july 16
Service Jan 17-Dec 17
First job Feb 18-Sep18
Current job Sep18-Date

If I enter these into the EE profile, score shows its evaluated as 3 years of experience

However, if I remove my first job since its not up to a year, the score changes to reflect 2 years of experience

With the recent cut offs, I can certainly do with 3 years of experience. Can I add my first job to improve my chances even though it's not up to a year.
N.B. all the jobs have the same NOC...
Looking forward to your responses.

Hi peeps, please is it advisable to use a newly opened money market investment account as POF, hope it won't raise questions or additional explanations.

It won't raise any question. You can use it. If you are using Stanbic IBTC, for instance, the only date you will see on your letter is the date the letter is being issued. So, no worries.

Why does it matter that it isn't up to a year? Only one of your experience has to be at least a year (continuous) and then rest can be any duration. You just have to combine them. You have enough for 3 years from what you've posted.

Good luck.

NB: They also do not have to be in the same NOC. You can combine NOCs. (for those this pertains to).

Good evening.
Please, does the amount of money documented and used as POF has to continually be in the account up until you get to Canada? What if there is need to use a part of the money here in Nigeria before leaving, will that constitute a problem with the law/process in Canada.

In essence, upon landing in Canada, is there any requirement that involves an agency or body in Canada, demanding to see or that you have the exact amount you stated as proof of fund while still in Nigeria?

Joromi12:

1- yes it has to be in your accout( is it not your settlement fund It has to follow u to canny too.
2. Better to notorise its less than 2k - i did not notorise mine tho. Have seen about 3 people on another forum who didnt and have gotten PR.
3. Qlife you need ita to book. Use iom they have closer dates. If iom gives you date of june 14 qlife would give you like july 6

Please I need help with my work experience.

1. I planned to use NYSC work experience. I understand I can write the reference letter by myself if I am unable to get it from my employer. I have all supporting documents (posting letter, statement of account, I.d card and discharge certificate). Is it a must to include my employer's details? I am asking because they are not willing to give me their details to add to the ref letter.

2. Can one year Industrial Training (after National Diploma) be use as work experience? If yes, I worked at a betting shop as a cashier and the firm has been closed. Can I still write the reference letter by myself? (I can get bank statement that shows salary payment).

The best thing to do is come clean.
You mean I should use my original documents and neglect the former ones but what if they refer to the last documents and ask of my family status, work experience and cert for Bsc (although I didn't use that during my last application) but what if they refer to the last documents or I should just ignore that and present new documents for myself?

Please I got an email on sat 29 June that my profile has been updated and I should check my profile for a new message. However, I have not received any new message after checking my account severally.

Has anyone experienced such before and what do I need to do with regards to this?

I got ITA last week but my EE account expires Aug 4.
I have the following documents pending:
a) My spouse's WES and IELTS
b) My police report from UK (Once lived in the UK)

Does it mean I have to provide all these documents before my profile expires? or the 60day waiting period still holds?

Inshort, if you get your ITA few days to your account expiry date, will it extend your profile or you have to do all that is necessary before the expiration date?

Thanks for your anticipated response.

Did you use your wife's WES and IELTS to claim points?

Did you request for the UK PCC to be sent to you? If you did, i think it may take some time. If you can, ask for it to be delivered to someone in the UK and have it scanned to you.

Help with Drivers licence

My family recently got their PR approved and will be arriving Canada soon. To ensure my husband is able to go for g2 or even g(full driving licence) upon their arrival in Canada, he is trying to obtain his driving history but there is an problem: his name is not properly written in the right order on his licence; instead of XYZ (X is surname,Y is first name and Z is the middle name), the name is printed as ZYX, making his middlename look like his surname. Since I am currently in Canada, I have visited the transportation ministry here and asked them about this and was told that XYZ is not same person as ZYX even though the intl shows his picture and date of birth as well as the driver's licence. They advised that he obtained a letter feom from FRSC or embassy saying that ZYX on thr driver's licence is same as XYZ but the FRSC person he talked to said they cant write such letter.
A little background, this mistake was made when he got his licence the first time, he was told it will be corrected when he goes to renew it. He went to renew it 2months ago and yet the name change was not effected as the FRSC IT person office claimed there is embargo on name modification. The new renewed licence is bearing same wrong order of his name.

Now, we are a bit confused on how to resolve this and worst of all, we are running out on time as their flight is booked.

I will appreacite if anyone here can advise on how best to resolve this or give us contact of who to reach out to.

A friend suggested he go back and claim he lost his licence and request for reprinting and them ask for the correct order of his name but I wonder if they will effect the correction since there is an embargo on name modification.

Another voice said he should get an affidavit and take it to the FRSC office to be stamped with the same stamp that will be used to stamp his driving history, I don't know how feasible this will be since he is in Lagos and I learnt the driving history is written in Abuja, how will he meet the person that will stamp it.

A third person suggested that he get an international driving licence and while doing that, ensure that his name is properly placed that will allow him to drive in Canada for one year, I don't know if that is possible,i.e driving in Canada for one year with int'l driver's licence and also if he can use he can combine it with a driving history to go for his g licence here.

Another suggested that he go to Abuja at their headquarters and they will resolve it. He is currently in Lagos with the kids and travelling to Abuja is not what he can do that easily especially since we are running out of time.

Pls I am sorry for the wrong post but we urgently need help and I want to be sure that our situation is properly explained.

I really need him to be able to drive since we have kids and jobs to attend to, so, it won't be that easy if I am the only one driving, moreover some jobs here will even require valid driving licence.

Pls help a desperate sister.I don't know what's our best solution to the current situation.

Thanks all

Your internship and service will count as 2 full work years provided you can obtain reference letters for them.
Guessing you are a pharmacist. You already have more than 3 years cumulative work experience, and you should be fine

Yes you will be creating separate account with WES for your spouse, should you choose to both use WES.
And yes you can use any other body, just check to make sure the body favourably evaluatea you kind of degree.
Cheers

Good day Sirs and Ma'ams. I'm on the verge of using ICES (because of WES's wahala) for my ECA, how advisable is this ? How do I get my documents delivered to them on time ?

Also, can I claim points for 1 year internship? If yes, how do I prove it(what document will I need to upload)?

Lastly, after simulation, I got a CRS of 402. What are my chances of getting NOI from Manitoba PNP My NOC is 2113 (Geoscientists ...)
