Ocean 8...4/10
Genre: Action, Comedy, Crime

Cataclysmic, that's the most suitable word that best describes this flick. In fact, the flick had nothing in it's favour. Character development was poor, unforgiving plot holes(broke few of the heist rules)poor storyline( heist lacked genuine motive), the cast definitely lacked humor/charisma & failed to delivery a convincing performance, in addition, the movie was slow & boring..

Alita: Battle Angel....8.8/10
Genre: Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

The visuals, settings,CGI, & graphics were jaw-dropping, James Cameron truly knows his onion. This flick had a heart and a soul poured into its story, with breathtaking action/fight scenes that literally blows you away & leaves you glued to you screen, i didn't even know when the 2hours of the movie elapsed. It was really entertaining & i pray we get a sequel, very soon.

Sabotage

I like the storyline here, though the plot could be better.

An FBI agent busted a drug lord, but it cost him his family.
His wife and son were kidnapped and tortured to death, he was sent a video of how it was done.
They mail him his wife's body parts for days.
He went to Mexico wipe out a drug gang but could never find the drug lord that organized the whole thing.
His team brought him back home.

But what he did to get back to Mexico to find the drug lord is what this movie is all about.

It's a pity the production team did not do Arnold Schwarzenegger or the original concept of this story any justice.

7.5/10 (just for the good storyline).

The plot of that flick had confusion written all over it. One minute, its was an unfinished vendetta story by Schwarzenegger, the next minute, it's something else, the next minute, it switches to something completely different...IMO, Schwarzenegger wasn't even the appropriate cast for the original concept of that movie, Liam Neeson would have done a more sober & better act/job..Its a 5.5/10 for me, cause of the action scenes.

Just seen ANNA @ d movie Theatre. Genre: Action
One of the best tactical movie I've seen since I saw d last Mission Impossible, so epic!
NB: It has a very strong Adult content, nearly everything is up on the table.

I dont think there is anything confusing about the story line, he starched the money from the operation for a good reason.
A man that had the body parts of his wife sent to him in bits is someone that will go to any length to have his pound of flesh (even though he acted like he has gotten over it). The members of the team started killing each other because they could not trust each other, they did not suspect it was the team leaders that took the money.
If you could remember when Schwarzenegger asked the girl why she killed the team members she said its because they took the money.

Schwarzenegger needed money to gather intel on the man that tortured and killed his wife and son, this was the only way he could raise the money. So I dont find the story confusing at all.

I dont think a Liam Neeson is needed in this movie, Arnold would have done just fine if the character was tailored around his strong points (Take Commando for instance), you dont need much talent when you are dealing with Revenge or Survival, you just need a good plot and a good production team.

The action scene is just mediocre.

That's exactly what am saying, why give us the audience the impression that he had gotten over what happened in the first 10mins of the flick, only to show us, 5mins to the end of the flick that he had plans & was still seeking revenge(pls don't say it's a twist)...IMO, i think the plot was disjointed, we the audience had no clue at all, as there was no connection though out the remaining run time of the movie as to what the lead had in mind. The lead character had a backstory that was definitely worth seeing, instead of developing it, they spent 70% of the movie on an irrelevant scenes & stories that doesn't add much to the plot.

Schwarzenegger has larger-than-life action image, & the character he played in that flick, was that of a emotionally-confused and relentless fellow seeking to finish a vendetta. I wasn't just impressed by the way he portrayed the various elements/attributes of his character, that's why i opted for Liam, because he portrays these attributes in a very natural way.

Koicereloaded Take note

Luc Besson "badass" female protagonists are generic in the sense that they're copy and paste of his original creation; Nikita. Sure, they can kick ass with fancy athleticisms, but they're as shallow as a fish pond on a summer afternoon.

I haven't seen Anna, but I'm pretty sure she's just a blond Colombiana (a popular Luc Besson's generic ass-kicking female lead). Don't kid yourself, Anna ain't special.

C'mon now, I know what to expect from Luc. His movies are entertaining, but don't hold up under vigorous scrutiny. They're as memorable as a fern leaf in winter. They're something you see, and forget.

Quentin Tarantino and his non linear storylines have a way of making one wonder why other movies have to be so linear in the first place, damn! This neo-noir film has all the flavours of an exceptional production coupled with the midas touch of a talented director, a compelling story and graceful cast performance; a true masterpiece.

Wait till you see it on 3D. cheesy

Plot wise, it's meh, but the scintillating visuals more than make up for the problematic script.
