it is very cheap and has sizeable Nigerians back home doing the PRO on behalf of the college. Even Nigeria graduate automatically become an ambassador. It is reasonable you patronized a school that will make you feel at home.
That is good

Yet the deluded prof still seek for contract extention in a country he assume is inferior to Nigeria. What an unneccasry pride. Well, he already apologise for his statement.
He is on sabattical. His main job is at the university of lagos.

He is only in ghana to make extra dough. Once he finishes his sabbatical, he is resuming back at unilag.

He said the only TWO professors in his university in ghana are Nigerians.
If that is correct, then Nigerian students in ghana are being scammed.

Yet many Nigerians still go there to study
Nigerians are also in benin republic and togo.

When you have over 3 million jamb applicants every year, it is not surprising that they are checking out any easier alternative.

well. The prof isn't just a worker at unilag but a former pro vice chancellor. That is a big position by the way . Well, he is incorrect as he himself later agree and apologised. He only work with legon for just a year and that was far back 2012. The funny thing about the prof is he has been in Ghana for the past 7 years seeking for job opportunity in one institution and the other. The country he ignorantly claim as an inferior education to Nigeria. Just imagine.

The school he works with is UEW and it is one of the youngest university in Ghana. Well, the school already sacked him base on the condemning speech.

Check what he says below.

""Embattled visiting Nigerian Professor, Augustine Uzoma Nwagbara who has been sacked by the University of Education, Winneba(UEW) says the videotape that has led to his dismissal was doctored.

According to him, he did not utter some of the things attributed to him on the video which are considered to be disparaging to Ghana.

The University of Education on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, terminated the contract of the visiting Nigerian professor who was seen in a video inciting Nigerians against Ghana.

The decision to terminate the contract was taken after a Disciplinary Committee of the university conducted a probe into the content of the video.

Content of the video has been widely condemned by Ghanaians over fears it could further polarise the recent tensed relationship between locals and Nigerians residing in the country.

The Public Relations Officer of the University of Education, Ernest Azutiga, told Host Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM that the remorseful Prof. Nwagbara denied many of the content on the tape when he appeared before the Disciplinary Committee.

“On the issue of Nigerian universities being 80% better than Ghana’s he said he never said that. On the issue of revenue that the University of Ghana accrues as a result of Nigerian students schooling there, he said he never uttered such claims and that he has no statistics to back that, also the fact that UEW begged him to stay in Ghana he claims he never said that. He stressed that the video was doctored and doesn’t fully reflect what he said."

“Prof. Nwagbara when he appeared before the committee regretted the content of the video and apologized for the disgrace caused the reputable university even though he insisted the video was doctored. He was shocked the video came out because he didn’t see anyone recording the meeting,” Mr. Azutiga added.

Mr. Azutiga noted that his own investigations have established that Prof. Nwagbara is a fine lecturer, only that he got carried away by nationalism during his meeting with his compatriots hence the kind of utterances he made""

This is not an inteligent reply. It should rather be the opposite. The way It is in the 60s. It is orther west african citizens who should be flocking Nigeria institution not the opposite. Nigeria has over 350 universities with new ones springing up almost every day yet she can't attract foreign student in comparism to a country with less than 13 public uni and a handful of private colledge. Something is wrong somewhere. It is either Nigeria education aren't attractive enough we don't have international brand.

Well, Ghana is second to south africa in sub Saharan africa in the list of country with highest number of foreign student. It is not only Nigerians schooling in Ghana. Even American, British, Chinese are also in the country.

Ghana has gotten a long-established image and known reputation of her universities and colleges for excellence in the past which appears to be woefully lacking on the part of the flagship of Nigerian academies.

Igbo Language isn't the same as Edo Language.
There is no need to add 'h' there, when it will still be silent. There are no silent letters in Igbo Language.
Igbos should write their language like the Edo do, you can identify every words,

How can you identify words like ''Big,'' ''Bottocks'' and ''Leg''?

the ''Bottocks'' should have 'H' in it as in... Ukwhu'' others can have punctuation marks

Ghana has students from US, and china? Even more than everybody else?
lol
What happened to the likes of egypt?
Keep blowing lie.
Is it not the same ghana we know.?

A country that has universities with endemic scarcity of professors.

There are international students in Nigeria . I have personally seen some.
The likes of covenant have them in droves.
Though i can't deny the fact that Nigerian education has dwindled, but the students going to the likes of ghana and togo are not looking for better education compared to Nigeria.
If they want better education, they would go to europe, america, canada or south africa, not ghana or togo.
The ones you see in ghana are those who don"t want the stress in gaining admission in Nigeria.
I don't think any country in west africa has universities comparable to the very few best universities in Nigeria.
The likes of covenant, UI , UNN ,Unilag.
The quality of the alumni in those universities alone dwarf anywhere else in west africa

You see your own input. Very pathetic . It shows you dont even have the information at hand just like the prof. Sub Saharan African countries does not include Egypt. And if Egypt is included. Then Ghana with a population of 30 million and just 13 public university will be third in the entire africa. The fact are available online to check.

Well, your prof already deny saying so. GHANA is not insufficient of prof. It is good to have educational exchange across africa . There are Ghanaian prof in Nigeria as well. And to lecture you. GHANAIAN educationist open up adult education both in university of ibadan and nigeria at large. Dr kweku attah that is the maternal uncle of the recently deceased former United Nations’ Secretary-General, Mr. Kofi (Atta) Annan – .

There are over 12000 Nigerians schooling in Ghana base on estimation. ( it is rightly more than that) investing heavily into Ghana economy directly and indirectly. That is a shame for Nigeria. Nigeria should be enjoying the position right. But rational minded individual/ parent knows acquiring a degree in Ghana is what is pedigree. Ghana is not the same as togo or benin. Theer

There are even benin and togo student in Ghana. How many Ghanaian are schooling in Nigeria. No Ghanaian will in his right sense pick a Nigeria uni unless he was born here or sponsored on scholarship. I am in the system so i know.

since at least 1960, until 1982, Nigerians had never outperformed their Ghanaian counterparts at both the “Ordinary” and “Advanced” levels at the General Certification Examinations (GCE). So, it is rather fascinating to hear Prof. Nwagbara stake his grandiose claims in favor of the supposedly nonesuch quality of Nigerian university or tertiary education, vis-à-vis the quality of the latter’s Ghanaian counterpart. Even The recent wassce tell. In education. I am sorry Nigeria is just coming.
