Cristiano Ronaldo is considered as the greatest ever footballer for his country, Portugal. Messi on the other hand is considered as the greatest ever footballer for Barcelona.

Ronaldo has much better leadership skills and knows how to carry his team and inspire them to victories under crucial circumstances. Messi on the other hand has shown again and again that he gives up under pressure and become totally silent on the field.

Ronaldo is a better sportsman and knows how to face defeat. Messi on the other hand has been seen taking retirements after facing embarrassing defeats. And then taking back those retirements. I hope he finally retired this time around because he has been a total failure for his country. He is only good at club level.

Ronaldo has time and again stepped up when it has mattered the most and shown the world what he is capable of.

For all those Messi fans blaming Argentina teammates. In the 2010 World cup , Messi didn't score a single goal but yet they got to the quarter finals. Also In 2014 World cup, Messi didn't score a single goal in the knock out stages ... Only had one assist and they still got to the final. Messi has score only one goal in this Copa America and they got to the Semi finals and assuming they won this match, Messi fans will be busy praising Messi like is only Messi that perform in the team.
