The desperation of the Fulani pastoralist to grab lands across Nigeria is appalling. The political tide between 2014 to date has revealed their agenda and awakened the awareness of all and sundry. But will they ever give up?
Are Nigerians really aware of what is going on? I doubt it. Otherwise, why would a reasonable number still vote for Buhari.

RUGA will provide employment, cattle rearing is not meant for fulanis alone, our problem in Nigeria is gross ignorance and illiteracy as will see everything with political, religious and ethnic sentiment. Ortom should not complain tommorrow when the insecurity in his state rise again. As a state governor what he done to curtail herder and farmer crisis? The law prohibiting open grazing in Benue state has not achieve any success till date.
Keep your RUGA to yourself. The FG should stay out of private business.

YORUBAS BEWARE-10 REASONS WHY I WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT CERTAIN PEOPLE FROM A SECTION OF THIS COUNTRY SAY ABOUT OTHER ETHNIC GROUPS...A YORUBA EXPERIENCE

THEY SAID:

1.THAT AWOLOWO SPONSORED THE 1966 COUP AND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR STARVATION DURING THE CIVIL WAR

2.THAT YORUBAS STOLE THEIR PROPERTIES AND NEVER GAVE THEM BACK AFTER THE CIVIL WAR.

3.THAT YORUBAS REMAIN THEIR MAIN MORTAL POLITICAL ENEMIES

4.THAT THEY DID NOT VOTE ENTHUSIASTICALLY FOR ABIOLA AND WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANY YORUBA PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN FUTURE

5.THAT YORUBAS ARE COWARDS

6.THAT YORUBAS ARE TREACHEROUS

7.THAT YORUBAS ARE LAZY

8.THAT YORUBAS ARE RITUALISTS

9.THAT LAGOS IS A NO MAN'S LAND

10.THAT THEY ARE THE DEVELOPERS OF LAGOS

WE BETTER REMEMBER WHO OUR REAL ENEMIES ARE.THEY ARE NOW GRAND SPECIALISTS AT WRITING FALSEHOOD ABOUT OTHER ETHNIC GROUPS AND PEOPLE.DON'T BE DECEIVED BY HALF-TRUTHS BY THE SAME PEOPLE WHO FLOATED THE FALSEHOOD THAT BUHARI IS JUBRIL FROM SUDAN.

THEY STARTED EVIL WRITE-UPS AND VIDEOS AGAINST GHANA AND ITS PRESIDENT RECENTLY WHEN THEIR SHOPS WERE BURNT IN ACCRA AND KUMASI FOR ARMED ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING.

THE SAME PEOPLE ARE NOW STOKING YORUBA FEARS ABOUT FULANIS AND U ARE HOOKED LINE AND SINKER? ON WHAT DAY AND TIME DID THEY HAVE THE SAME POLITICAL INTERESTS WITH YORUBA? YORUBA RONU WELL,WELL.

MS. MAY GOD HEAL MY COUNTRY.

We Yorubas need to have our own livestock programme by waking up our moribund ranches. The operations can be done by locals without a single Fulani present.

Thanks to Ruga for reminding us that we have the ranches already for this purpose.
From a fool. You should accept RUGA then. When the SouthEast Governors made their statement rejecting RUGA, they did not include the Southwest. They included the South South. You can fraternize with the Fulani all you want. Who cares. If history is anything to go buy, you end up like what you have in Ilorin. Get lost.

That is why I was surprised that they still voted massively for Buhari. Same for Plateau State.
Election in Nigeria is another Mata o. Some people might vote for a candidate cos they don't want the opponent not because they even want the candidate. Some just vote cos of the party, if you bring a scarecrow and call it the party candidate they will vote for the inanimate objects because of party.

We don't vote politicians based on their manifestoes , their stand on certain societal issues and their sensible reform plans

I understand that about how our people generally vote. But in the case of Buhari, after 4 years, it was very obvious that he was championing the cause of the Fulani. Just look at his appointments into important positions and the total Fulani control of the security agencies and how he has been trying to emasculate the judiciary and place it under Fulani control.
It was obvious before the election, that there was an ethnic agenda. Even the President and the Vice President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum expressed suspicion that there is an ethnic agenda. So I was unpleasantly surprised that a large number of Nigerians still voted for this tribalist. Soldiers and Police were openly rigging the election for him. The Miyetti Allah even announced that they believe that Nigeria is a land given to the Fulani by Allah and that they will take it back. And that they were inviting the Fulani from all over West Africa to start moving to Nigeria. This was on Channels TV, at the peak of the killings in Benue. This should have been enough to scare any intelligent human from voting for Buhari. Yet they trouped out to vote in a Fulani jihadist. And now same people are crying over RUGA Fulani settlement. I definitely will not rank Nigerians as wise. We are the exact opposite. It's definitely going to be a long 4 years. I will be very surprised if a civil war does not break out.

You said should have been enough to scare any intelligent human. What is the percentage of intelligent Nigerians that voted rationally? I sure hope a civil war doesn't break out. The livelihood of those in communities where oil exploration takes place are destroyed, the ecosystem is destroyed, their health is horribly impacted but the government doesn't spend national finds to solve these resultant issues. But herdsmen are wrecking havoc right left and center while conducting private cattle rearing business and the solution the COWS come up with is to spread these unruly violent herdsmen all over the country

This is the ignorant narrative you all are peddling to your uninformed supporters, government has been subsidizing farm inputs for ages yet the farmers are private businesses, government build farm settlements with taxpayers money for farmers who are businessmen, Obasanjo brought a policy that mandated flour producers to make cassava 5% of their materials so as to encourage cassava farmers, nobody remembered its a private business, when bird flu broke out, government spent billions to bail out farmers whose birds were affected no one said they were private businesses..... Haba hypocrites everywhere
The Fulani that will use Riga will pay to rent /lease the land and pay taxes so then why won't government develop a place where it intends to make money?
How myopic you're are...please check again or research on government previous policies on livestock.

In your initial comment you never mention anything done by government on livestock making it look like all attentions has only been on farm and farmers. Simple RUGA is not needed and for the record no one is against ranching but definitely not like this in the form of RUGA. Acquire your land, build your ranch and make money from it with government making and enforcing policies and law to checkmate them like it's done in other countries. And no one says ranching can't be done up there in the north just as pig farming is in the south and west while is the government under the disguise of fighting insecurity is seriously pushing for it to extended to the other regions even against their wish. They should create it that region where the average herder understand the terrain and language. What happen to people in other livestock business like piggery, poultry, fishery, snail, etc or our people in ABA, Computer village here in Lagos doing great in technology while is the government not also pushing for them to create even more employment

I knew someone was going to say this, but you too, just like very many others Nigerians still don't even know what's going; you actually still think this is a Buhari thing.

The land grabbing of the Fulanis predates Buhari, and it will also continue after Buhari is long gone. In my previous comment I mentioned that the political tides since 2014 only exposed the agenda, it didn't start it and it wouldn't end it. Prior to 2015, do you know the thousands of people killed by the Fulani militia in the middle belt? Southern Kaduna, Taraba, Nassarawa, Benue etc. When the Fulani militia were named the 4th deadliest terrorist group globally, Buhari wasn't anywhere close to power. Of course none of the cases were ever really reported because Bokoharam at the time was a bigger crisis stealing all the air time and also, there wasn't really a political reason yet for people down south to talk about the Fulani militia not until a hated Fulani man became president.

Like I said before, if there's anything the Buhari presidency has done, it has made the hitherto unknown and undiscussed Fulani agenda become a national discussion. With more awareness for the first time, it now makes it more difficult for them. At least the folks in the middle belt now have their voices heard because southerners (for purely political reasons) have now joined the discussions.

In regards to not voting Buhari being a solution, I laugh!... the only alternative in the last election was Atiku, another Fulani man. A lot of people are obviously ignorant of the fact that every single Fulani man (irrespective of education, exposure or mien) also has a sworn allegiance to the very same agenda to take over lands and colonize the length and breadth of west Africa. The only difference between AA and PMB is that whilst PMB isn't smart enough to promote the agenda stealthily, AA being a wise man would covertly still promote the same agenda without a single opposition; not a single person would cough about it because the loudest voices currently speaking against it are AA supporters.

I also laugh at people who think this is a religious issue; religion has only just been a tool they have used to subdue those on their way without much violence. They've conquered the entire northern Nigeria using religion, and anywhere they go, they must rule - just about all the leaders in the north, from Adamawa to Borno to Yobe to Sokoto to Kebbi are all Fulanis while the original indigenes of the areas are their subjects. The only place where they haven't been able to conquer despite the religion is Zamfara, and they're currently waging a bloody war there to take over the lands by force. Every other place they exhibit violence today are also locations where the inhabitants have refused to fall for their religious ruse/bait and have refused to easily give up lands; i.e. Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Benue and Taraba.

You are really well informed about the menace of the Fulani bandits in the country. What, in your own opinion, is the solution to the crisis?

Governors need to sit up, man up and stop licking balls in Abuja like gays. That's the only solution as things stand now.

State assemblies also need to wake up, their job isnt to just collect salaries and blame Buhari for every problem from security to the economy. Even though we might say we currently don't run a proper federal system, the fact is that we still run a federal system and governors are still emperors in their states.

In my opinion, what Fayose did was the solution; ban open grazing completely, get the state assembly to ban open grazing of every kind and set up state appoved vigilantes.

There is actually no difference in Fmr. Governor Fayose's policy against open land grazing in Ekiti state and Governor Ortom's policy, on the same subject, in Benue state. The sponsors of the Benue state farmers/herdsmen crises are politicians hell bent on causing havoc in the North central Region for political gains.

When more states in the region genuinely adopt the same policy, it would go a long way to cripple those powerful people creating the havoc.
