This is what I keep telling people, if the SW can disagree with the North, then the north got no choice than to succumb. We will destroy them with the media not with propaganda tho but with common sense.

This is also an eye opener for 2023, any attempt by the north to bring forth a candidate will be very crazy in Nigeria politics coz a united south spells doom for Northern dominance. The north also knows this.

So after voting for the tribalist Buhari in 2019, against informed advice, you now want a united South for 2023? Clap for yourself.

It will never happen in Yoruba land

If it's allowed to fly
We will start hearing a Fulani man saying he is from Rivers state

The way it was done to kaduna people, ilorin and some parts of the north

Will never happen!

Elchicolo:
The Anglican Bishop of Akure Diocese, Rt. Rev’d Simeon Borokini, has urged South-West governors to discard the controversial plan by the Federal Government to establish RUGA Settlements.

Borokini gave the warning during the first session of the Diocese’s 13th synod at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Akure, yesterday.

According to Borokini, any South-West governor who offers the people’s land for the RUGA project would have himself to blame.

DAILY POST recalls that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government had announced the indefinite suspension of the RUGA project on the grounds of inconsistency with the National Livestock Transformation Plan.

Reacting, the Anglican Bishop said: “I am not in support of the suspension, I am advocating that it should be abolished.

“If they want to practise it, let them practise it in the northern part not in the South-West. I am not comfortable with that word, suspension. It should be abolished.

“If they want to practise it in Adamawa, Kano and other northern states, they should go ahead, but I won’t support practising it in the South West.

“Why should they give an expanse of land from our community to strangers? And we don’t know what they have in mind; they may have hidden agenda, which I don’t support.

“Why should they give preference to a particular tribe and a particular trade? Cattle rearing is a trade, and we have some of our farmers who are poultry keepers; why don’t they encourage them?

“We have some of our farmers also, they rear sheep and goats, why don’t they encourage them? Why is it only people rearing cows that are to be encouraged? What is special?”

Thats a nice idea you stated up there. And if I may add to it, Open grazing should be completely banned.

Now, where i digress is that, for you to enact such stringent laws with adequate enforcement agents, you have to give them a landing ground.

Permit me to refer to the Okada trade that was once rampant with criminal activities and unwarranted accidents. The government was powerful enough to completely take it off our roads. But then, you cant go such way considering the number of people involved with that trade.

I just need us to be logical and make points just like you doing.

I must give it to you that you the most sensible human that have vibrantly discussed with me on the issue and it made sense.

Others come up with insults, religious and tribal sentiments

Why the suspension? What does the refusal by the South have to do with its implementation in the North by the FG? Was it not as voluntary as claimed?

The outcry of Nigerians soft pedalled His Excellence, President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR). It's democratic to have a listening ear and thats why it was completely suspended. Issue will be re addressed with all stakeholders and that's why everybody is trying to be relevant so as to fall in the gathering of decision makers.

Trust me, It's all political. If we take away hate and all sentiments, I can assure you that resolutions that woukd be agreed upon will not be far from what is being stated today.

You make it look like cattle herding must naturally come with violence, murder and destruction of peoperty...FG should start by seriously arresting and jailing all the fulani murderers, it will serve as a strong deterrent and teach them that dialogue + reason works better than violence and federal might. They should also remove all those fulanis that have driven out farmers and occupied their lands while the rightful owners are displaced. That is a great start towards ending the clashes and attacks. Justice goes a long way...
