A cigarette business would be quite lucrative since a lot of people like to smoke and cigarette is addictive. I don't really know much about the business. I suggest he starts a fun centre which consists of a gaming spot(PlayStation), viewing room for football matches and a spot for charging a large number of people's phones. Location is very key and the building and services must be quality.

In addition to all these, he can add a cybercafé. With hard work, good planning and time and money management, he would be rolling in steady profits. That's my suggestion but what do I know. grin

I have also made up my mind to leave this country by August next year just for my children's sake. The future of this country is very bleak.

Please a quick question. With a monthly income of 2500 dols, how much can save?
1000-500.. but once he finishes his Ms program, you can make 60-100k and save 25% if you’re frugal

Employment insurance?
Do all persons working have it?
yes, employers make deductions for virtually everyone, and if you have worked for certain number of hours and there is a job loss , not because of voluntary resignation. Then such individual can apply for E.I

Good but you see Nigerians still doing menial when you can easily access upto 50k CAD with a good business plan from that site.
In running Amazon eccomerce from the USA, loans are available as high as $250k-$500k if you have a house and a good credit score with SSN. Some people have these opportunities but dont use them and most settle for menial jobs.
Thats the difference between the West and African countries in particular. If you have the head to utilise these things, you may never need to work, my brother.

Loan with high interest , go and see the number of people filing bankruptcy every year for credit card . And some credit union are just praying for you to default, before you open eye you’ll see them serving you court papers . grin

4 million naira can only be invested to see something tangible in Nigeria.

4 million is chicken change.

How much to process for visa? Flight about 400k, accommodation is about 200,000 naira every month, 2.4 million in a year. Light bills, phone bills, etc like 50,000 naira a month 600,000 a year.
Transportation/food about 100,000 naira a month. 1.2 million a year.

You cannot travel abroad and invest 4 million except it is in Africa or other developing countries you are travelling.

When I saw the post and saw first world countries with budget of 4 million, my mind told me Ghana but then Ghana is an African country and nowhere near a first world country nevertheless its travel sha.

4 million is not much in our current economy.

If you can Tokyo International University will be a good option for you.. There is English language requirement and cost implications... But the beauty is.. We link you up with job in your first week and you can survive by paying your subsequent fee by urself after your initial payment

You mean comming to Japan with student visa and you will introduce work for someone in first week? Before get permission for other activity?
If I'm misunderstanding, I'm really sorry.

I pity you if you ever listen to those Suggesting you invest the money here . I have seen people who travel to uk with less then 4million Naira and now he is doing very well and have even built a beautiful bungalow for his mum. That's all I have to tell you. Better still if you have a relative who can accommodate you until you can stand on your own two feet.

Be careful of what you say. You don't know what he's into and can't make such reference.

I'm sorry if I made you feel so bad and if I misunderstood. I'm apologies you.
I know that answer was for someone else.
Not for me.

Japan is getting very strict for illegal peoples than before. Not only for illegal entry peoples or over stay peoples.
That's why I just worry about that.
I asked you about that is not because I'm interest about go to Japan.
Because I'm Japanese and I live in Japan.
I maybe misunderstood about your writing.
I'm really sorry.

Thanks
‘Japanese are strict for illegal people’
‘Japanese are strict for overstay’
Yes I know because I live in Japan

... the response was based on STUDY not for illegal/overstay
And when you come for study (depending on your program and school) you get your permit to work at Immigration at the port of entry, every necessary documents would have been sent to the student by the school( depending on your school and program).

So The response was SPECIFIC for someone coming to study at a SPECIFIC school. and already I have people studying in the SAME school that will help the person to settle down and get a job .. so as to lessen the financial burden.

So My information if FREE

I know your response was about study.
Not talking about illegal.

I misunderstood is because you wrote first week and job.
Because I just know when comming to Japan for study with student visa, can apply permission for other activity in airport or port.
But take time like 2weeks to 2months after apply. (Ministry of Justice inform about that)
If someone will start work without get permission, that will be problem.

So I misunderstood and worry about like that.
I never meant make you feel so bad.
But I'm really sorry.
I hope you are having fun in Japan!!

Reason is better to do a skilled job, a lot of Nigerians don't want to learn a skill or go to school they prefer using their strength. Working 2 to 3 jobs that's damn stressful. I will never go to the US or Canada and start working as Walmart attendant, bus driver or cleaning snow, doing menaic job, I must find way to the corporate world. Get some skills that will fetch more money but less physical tasking.

They keep advising them to learn any skill before travelling they won't learn........on getting there they will be lamenting and regretting that why most of them end up as a cleaner or bus driver
