Y'all saying messi is being compared to greats like pele, maradonna ,moon , sun blabla as if ronaldo will be forgotten in history when he retires....y'all should know that presently in mordern football, messi and ronaldo are already the benchmark for any player that will graze the field of football in this 21st century, infact 99% of the time people argure mordern football,they use messi and ronaldo as the bench mark..when they both retire, upcoming or developed players will always be compared to them...

They are already the benchmark and in years to come, they will both be refered to as mordern football greats and developed players or developing players will always be compared to the them..even presently self , only mbappe,neymar and maybe harzard are being slightly compaired to them just to let you know how great they are and how they'v already set the bar too high for any player to fit in...history will never forget their dominance and reign and when they finally retire, pele and maradonna will rarely be talked about as football greats because messi and ronaldo will now occupy the position of modern football greats.

For as much as I know about this MESSI & RONALDO stuff, it all started with banters and trolls. Now, it's pure HATRED for absolute no reasons.

Ronaldo fans needs to know that you don't have to downplay everything Messi has done out of sheer hatred for someone who doesn't even know you exist before you showcase the greatness of Ronaldo. Vice versa for Messi fans too.

This argument won't end because we all don't argue to reach conclusion. We argue to change an already fixed mindset.

Messi fans will highlight the flaws in Ronaldo's career which favours Messi's to pitch him better than Ronaldo. Same goes for Ronaldo fans too.

Imagine saying treble... Ronaldo hasn't won it. Messi has it twice.

Claudio Bravo won treble. Casillas is still dreaming of having it. It doesn't necessarily translate to Bravo being better. (It's a team thing).

Luis Suarez has an international Trophy, won European golden boots (in Messi and Ronaldo era X2) , won UCL and in fact, Won the golden ball at international stage. Does that translate to him being better than Messi ?

All these logics are just cooked up. ALL ARE FLAWED.

Watch them every weekend and midweek, for club and for country.

Watch them consistently and let your conscience tell you some truth.

To be frank, Ill take Semedo as first choice and regular starter with Roberto playing less important games or deputising when semedo gets injured.. For years, Alves was our regular RB and he maintained that position for years but trust EV, he will still be do his regular trash by trusting Roberto more than Semedo.

Its Alba we need a serious deputy for.

Alba's deputy doesn't have to be world class, Alba is 30 and needs fewer games, why can't we give those games to cucurella who had a splendid season at Eibar, won't cost money at all, proved he can handle a huge offensive workload and would improve drastically.

If we don't call him back from loan then i really don't know what else can be done.

Maldini was not really a centreback. He moveed there towards the end of his career. Maldini the is greatest left back of all time. Dude this man was consistently at the top for close to 20yrs. Maldini is just behind baresi when it comes to goats of defenders.

He played lb for barca B but only had standout performances at LM for the club we loaned him to.

Jordi alba is average at defending. At least it's still better than sergi mediocrity's defensive prowess.
