I don't think these housemates know they need a very high number of coins to do anything. E.g message from family, or take yourself off your nomination list.

They think they just need coins to be higher than the next person to avoid eviction, and seeing as no-one has more than 500 coins. They don't think to ask for more, but let's see what the rest of the housemates will say.
