President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for defeating the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that the Super Eagles had on Wednesday thrashed their opponent to qualify for the next round, semi finals.

The President's congratulatory message was contained in a statement by his Senior Spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, a copy of which was obtained by Igbere TV.
