Greetings sis. I saw your comments in the endocrinology thread. Just need to ask, how much is FNAC? I started noticing a small lump on my thyroid last week. I went for thyroid scan and TFT today. Now the doctor said i should go for FNAC again?

fnac is about #3500.Which hospital are you using?

Okay thanks. A private hospital in Ibadan. I checked a diagnostic center, they said #17,500 for it but i found out another place too. It's #7,000 there. Is the process painful?

maybe urs is expensive b'cos u're using a private facility... I did mine in luth.. The procedure wasn't painful... You should be through in less than 20mins if u cooperate well. I was scared too... But it wasn't painful at all.
It is necessary you do the fnac so you would be sure you have done everything and the doctors will be able to advice you better. All the best.
