Not necessarily. It's a means of identification.

In my candid view, if people want to have an identity document without travel intent, they have the National Identify card. It is relatively easier to get and does not cost much more than the international passport.
While it is good that we all should get our passports, there is a likely, and a subtle indication of discontent with issues in Nigeria, and it appears there is a correlation between those securing passport and those wanting to leave Nigeria. I do not think passport is cheaper now anyway,(maybe officially). You try and process one without any help from any one oga at the top and you would see the real price of passport.
I also would suggest to you that you can make your point without being insultive. I can understand the challenge of coping with the problems of Nigeria and also that of defending the government. I don't envy your job.

Friction? My friend more and more people want to leave the country. Anywhere u look, circumstancial evidence will tell u that. The truth is, rghtly or wrongly, Nigerans have been thoroughly sold that 9ja is s shithole, that it is better"abroad".
