You have limited understanding of what “visa free” status means.
It doesn’t mean a loss in revenue, it simply means you don’t have to wait 3 months to get the permit you need to go the respective country. You’ll still get charged an entry fee which in most cases, will be more than the visa fee if there wasn’t a “visa free” status.

It’s not true that SA has not scored against Nigeria in Afcon before. I remember one very entertaining AFcon match we played against them. I can’t remember the year but I think the score was like 4-2 and Osaze Odemwingie scored twice or so.
