The National Assembly ad hoc committee set up to investigate the crisis rocking the Edo State House of Assembly, have arrived Benin City.

EagleStep gathers that the committee arrived the Edo State capital, Friday afternoon.

They were received by the state governor, Godwin Obaseki upon arrival. They also subsequently met with the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II.

The committee headed by Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, from Adamawa Sate, is currently meeting with the 9 inaugurated Edo Assembly members.

12 other members of the committee are also in attendance.

EagleStep reports that the ad hoc committee had met with the 15 other non-inaugurated members of the Edo Assembly, separately in Abuja.

Recall that the House of Representatives had on Tuesday, resolved to intervene in the matter following a motion brought to the House by Hon. Julius Ihonvbere, APC lawmaker from Edo State.

I think this issue will be resolved soon.They are going to share Both presiding and principal officers positions among themselves.

I'm a Benin boy, born and brought up in the capital city, l have no business with Lagos politics.

All Obaseki have to do is run for re-election under any platform and he'll win with a landslide.

......And that is the voice of the street.

Obaseki is a genius, what he did wasn't right but it was the best thing to do, Mr governor is a proactive man and he has done his calculations accurately. if he allowed those midgets take control of the assembly, they'd serve him a notice of impeachment in no time.. to be on the safer side he had to do what he did, not everyone can be like Mr Ambode.. I've stayed in both Ondo and Edo state and i must confess that they are very unpredictable when it comes to voting pattern. if Mr Obaseki is dropped, the state automatically becomes a PDP state.

All this because of god-fatherism. Sad.
