That’s part of the trials of motherhood..
My kids start crèche at roughly 3months..

Try and start taking a week before resumption for a few hours , check on him unannounced to allay your fears that he’s been taken care of and trust in God for the best..

I express because I close late and from 6months I pack his food then breastfeed when I come back..

Sure other mamas will help too..

Arrgghhhh......I feel so sad letting him out of my sight but thanks for your advice, I will put everything in God's hands and hope for the best.

Happy weekend mamas
Its about my baby's poop. I noticed when I was giving him frisogold(rice based), his poo was mostly greenish, or dark yellow. Not the normal egusi-like paste... Sorry TMI
I changed to cerelac (wheat based) and his poo became very normal, egusi-like paste.
Now I'm back to frisogold and his poo is now greenish.
Is this a cause for concern? Do I stick to cerelac wheat based or still mix with frisogold ricebased?

Cappo.....I was told 4months oooo. Anyways, me I started teaching DS to sit at 3months plus and now he sits well with a few toppling over now and then. About the backing him, I am not sure cos I still leave his legs slightly straight and use Oja.

Good evening sabi mamas, abeg make everyone chuck mouth for this. Help a first time mum
1. i thought during immunization, they suppose to check my baby weight? when we went for six weeks, i noticed they didn't check. After dismissal, i insisted i want to know my DS weight and the nurse reluctantly did it for me. Then last week i went for 10weeks, that same nurse flared up oo, that is it because he checked for me last time i came? that i should nt ask her that again. This is government health center i went to oo, coz i gave birth at teaching hospital and its 2hrs far from where i stay.

2. Ds weighed 5.9 at 6weeks and 6.2 at 10weeks. is it normal?

3. i didn't get Rota virus, and nurse said i shoud not worry that its not that important. is that true?

4. my Ds stoped taking anything in bottle, both formula and expressed breast milk. he only takes water. pls has anyone experience sudden refusal to take bottles. am confused oo

Mama, your baby is still small, don't do self medication. Why not take him to the hospital. My baby had one terrible cough at 4months, doctor prescribed antibiotics and it worked.

I have never used Oja with My kids.Noticed Its prevalent in the north an west though.
If You have mastered the art of tying it well, there will be no need for It.

Please it's not advisable to use silverbird directly on your child's head/chest whether you dilute with coconut oil or not. Steam inhalation is better. Or you can put few drops on his shawl or other clothing but not directly on his skin.

I know I can bare my heart here. Honestly these people are driving me crazy. My child had experienced convulsion twice within two months. She was rushed to hospital on those occasions.

In between, local herbs seller made herbs drink for her. After the last incidence, my in laws took her one woman... imagine telling them her child is possessed with 'elegbe'. My hubby couldnt do anything, all he wanted was a lasting solution. The woman ended up giving my child 'gbere' all in the name of convulsion.

Thereafter, my in-laws wanted to take her to see another person but thank God my hubby stopped them, that there is need for it.

MiL came up with another story today that she met one woman, that the woman told if she experienced the convulsion during sleep and brought out saliva, then it is not ordinary. Planning to go and consult traditionalist.

I have read about it on Google, I was dumbfounded when she finished her story. She is a good mother to me but I don't know how tell her that all she was being aren't true. She won't even listen.

Please mothers that have one or two experience about convulsion, when, how and what did you do to it o?

For that don't have the experience, it won't happen to your children o.

May God deliver our children from all calamities of this world.

Sorry for any typos, I am crying typing this

My twinnie, i understand how u feel. Sadly, we cant b with them all d tym in our lives. It's just part of their growing up. I resumed work when she was 3months. I have a 9-5 job n all i do is express n go breastfeed once during my break. She's on exclusive. I got her a nanny n they stay close to my office at a friend's shop. So she also helps to monitor her. Pray 4their protection always. You both 'll b fine

A few minute should be fine. If you feel your baby is choking or uncomfortable while doing it, you can let him take some fresh air intermitently then continue again

Calm down and take a deep breath ma'am. God be with you and heal your baby of all diseases.

I read your story initially and waka pass because I was livid with the incisions given to your LO and the egbere tag given to that innocent child.

Please stand your ground with your family members and insist no more visits to traditionalists and herbs drinking! Take your baby to the hospital for proper management of the convulsion and adhere strictly to the medications. Relay your fears/concerns to the doctor (s) in the hospital.

Your own your child (ren) a duty to protect them. Stop all these my family members/in-laws suggested solutions that are crude. Haaaa! I am seething with anger and I hope you are able to take your stand firmly.

I apologise if I touched the wrong nerves sis. God be with you

Take a deep breath sis. My son convulsed like 3weeks back and was due to high temp(40),we were even in the docs office when it happened. So he was immediately sedated to avoid a repeat. We were admitted and the ran tests to find out the cause. It was diagnosed as a simple convulsion cause all test came out negative. We were told it could happen again if his temp goes up again. So dear, try take her to the hospital to see a paediatrician so tests could be done to determine the cause. And question like how long it lasted (ie the convulsion) lasted so the could determine if is a simple one. She will be fine dear, sorry for the long epistle. Hope it helps
