Freeze account rubbish. How much do they have that you want to freeze?

If I were a soldier that pulled such a hit in Nigeria today, best believe that I would never use your fvking bank again!

Crude oil money.

The Niger delta leaders who begged Gowon to carve out non Igbos from Biafra, una commit ORIGINAL SIN

Happened in the north so it's most likely proceeds from other illegal doings. I don't think it's crude oil money.

I am excited for them as i am afraid for their safety. I wonder how they will move with such funds. Well, as escorts, they'd hv their fair share of tactics. But something tells me they'll have to split and with that kind of amount, one or two of them will bust the lid open in the process. May the stealthiest man win!

The corruption in the army no get part two far worse than the navy and air force. The generals keep looting and sharing funds amongst themselves while the lower ranked soldiers are left to suffer.

I'm telling you. 30k a month! Even Npower beneficiaries don't suffer that much

Every allowance coming from the FG is either cut in half or totally blocked by our generals dem. The Naval officers have also learned what syphoning is about, from the army. Soldiers hardly get there allowances paid in full. Not even there salaries. Going by the documented salary structure of the army, a PTE isnt suppose to be paid 48000 as basic salary. It's supposed to be way more than that. Every soldier on operation is entitled to his RCA. But today, even those is the front(Borno,Adamawa, etc)only get stipends. True, no organization in Nigeria is as strong and as corrupt as the Nigerian Military.

As for the men, it would only take the grace of God for dem not to get caught

Don't worry, they will not get caught.

These guys are really suffering. They go through inhumane things everyday.

My friend is currently serving in the Nigerian Army, right in the heat of battle (sambisa). I know how many times he "flashes" friends and fams or send "call me backs" just to ask for N200 recharge cards.

If he tells you what they go through, you will know our Nation has failed woefully!

It's very bad

Ever since the introduction of bvn, looters of this government are no longer using banks for transactions. They are now laundering money by air and roads.Tinubu introduced tactics to launder huge sums of money.

Why would General Otiki be transporting billions of Naira in cash instead of through the banks? The money is obviously proceeds of massive corruption. The EFCC should investigate. The soldiers did the right thing by deciding to pay themselves and go for early retirement. I hope they don't catch them.
I don't think efcc will investigate it.Na only yahoo boys matter dem dey involve in.You no hear the politician wey load money inside private jet wey the tail of the jet press go down? You know hear the two bullion vans wey drive enter tinubu's compound? These are proceeds of corruption been laundered but efcc did nothing.

The incidence took place on the 11th.If the money is legitimate the army authority would have raised an alarm immediately. But they kept quiet until a whistle blower leak the news on the 14th

I heard quite a number of such stories from my Soldier friends-- the soldiers steal the money and the officer can't do NADA, because the money was illegal to start with. So everybody just locks up.

For them to raise dust in this story says a lot-- the consequences have been damned.

They can't unfortunately escape with so much money, and in the North... with many check points and all. But if they do, would be the best story of the year.

However if they are caught, their end would be the plot of horror (slasher) movies-- they will be killed like dogs!

According to our sources, on arrival at Jaji, the five uniformed men — two corporals and three lance corporals — connived amongst themselves to share the cash. They then deserted military service, sources .

FAKE NEWS.
At Jaji airstrip the shared the money.?
The Said Otiki just stayed looking on.?
No other military personnel present?
Re: Nigerian Soldiers Escorting VIP Steal ‘billions’, Desert The Nigerian Army by Mynightmare: 5:58am On Jul 15, 2019
As much as we condemn crime,we should also look into how our military men are taken care of,the generals are subjugating them to eternal poverty,an other rank in the military is equal to a slave, you risk ur life and in the end you are given pea nut as pay,and all the allowances they are supposed to collect is being diverted by the ogas at the top..
Our politicians are not also helping matter
A senators one month pay covers the whole 35yrs of an AWO.
This incident should let them know that this generations soldier can't keep quite while being cheated .
A word is enough for the wise
FG should look into the welfare packages of it's soldiers.

Their families will be arrested... Since the amount of money is huge...they will certainly work overtime to get it back ..I just pity the innocent father or mother that's going to suffer this wink

The problem with small minded pikins like you is that you think you can get away with high profile stealing.

These guys are engaging in blue collar theft, running a round with a physically large sum of money that they cannot leave behind.

Their names are known to everyone and all security agencies will have their pictures. It is in the news, and the military top brass have been thoroughly embarrassed by this. They are not going anywhere

That money is meant for troops allowance who are fighting bokoharam. The general decided to launder it to be shared by his senior officers colleagues in abuja.
Even the allowances is not paid in full. The officers will divide it into three, give the soldier one part and take the remaining two.

In Warri, all what you said is termed 'carry talk'.

you really think life is like the movies where people get away clean

common stealing from criminal kingpins, they will find you
these people stole cash from the federal government of nigeria
from their fellow soldiers
no need to talk. we will still see them on FP in handcuffs

the kind of riot act buhari [ a soldier himself] will read to the brass will not get part two.

for you to get away with big theft, every boy has to be in on it. these guys are fully on their own. anyone who meets them now will be looking at how to kill them if not arrest them

This what will are talking about, Commander living large with public funds and no one see nothing wrong with this rulers called Nigeria .

This wont happen in a system that works.

Nigeria Soldiers are dying for a country they have a faint believe in it.

Why why my people.

But after spending a long time handling transactions for them (senior officers) while they (soldiers) remained in penury, they decided to take their destiny into their own hands with the latest opportunity,” one officer told PREMIUM TIMES.
