When you take portrait photos, click on the edit button below the image, then select google photos as the editor. You will see colour pop option among other effects.

Just take a portrait photo with your GCam view the photo from the GCam app select edit choose Google photos, you will see colour pop select it then save as copy

From the first photo you were supposed to click photos and not edit. Edit is for xiaomi default picture editor
