How Do Youths Go Into Agriculture? by Nobody: 2:44pm On Jul 16, 2019
The government is saying youths should go into agriculture as a means to solve the high rate of unemployment. I have decided to go into agriculture but I don't have land and machineries to use in farming. I would like to know the means to get these things and if the government has provided a way for youths to get the necessary facilities needed for farming.

Land is very important. If you don't have, consider other types like poultry, fishery, snail, rabbits, bees, earthworms, etc.

If your land is small, consider Vertical Farming for Cucumber, Pepper and other Vegetables. See below.

Guy with your one plot you don't need any tool to stop you. Consider the following:

- Put a perimeter around the land. Start with rope, net or sticks. You can do something fancy later.
- Clear the land and plant whatever you can on it. Vegetables, Pepper, cocoyam, potatoes, etc. Just don't leave it empty.
- Apply for agric loan from Microfinance, agric bank or cooperatives. While that is ongoing, return to your farm.

If you own the land or leased it for longer than 2yrs, I encourage you to plan your farm, run it like a business, segment it to sections, plan to cultivate it all seasons.

All the best.
