Back then in the university mth 201. The question is not that easy ooo, put it in form of column, then apply guassian elimination method, then the non-zeros would be transposed. The work here is the elimination like R4= 2R1 + R4 to get new R4. Keep doing that and keep getting as many zeros as possible. |

Sl2348:Form a matrix whose rows are the five vectors in the question. Row reduce the matrix to one in reduced row echelon form. The nonzero rows form a basis for W. Just a tip, If a vector space V has n dimensions and is spaned by a set S consisting of n linearly independent vectors in V, then S is a basis of V. ![]() |

Another way is to write those spanning vectors as rows of a matrix. Reduce the matrix to row-echelon form and the non-zero rows form the basis of W. |
