This happened earlier this month of April, I was interviewed for the post of Secretary for a reputable company on the island. After series of interview questions and even taking an immediate practical test on my typing skills, I got the job.
On the day I was to resume, I got another call saying I shouldn't come as the owner of the company just passed away and there will be no one available to attend to me and that I should give them some time.

Now I'm confused, should I forget about the job and continue my job hunt that has lasted for a while now until I finally got this. Or should I wait.
I mean this job was a nice shot I got with a very good pay, and a good distance from my house.

Do both to be on the safer side. While waiting for their call, don't relent on your job hunt.

Yea the op should brief us on the outcome. Did she eventually resume there or has she gotten another job?

I kept on applying for other jobs but no luck.

Two months later I was called again to start the following week in the said job as the secretary. The company is now been run by a partner and family.

So I work there now and it has been a good ride all through.
