I hope this scheme is sustained. It is similar to the grameen model in Bangladesh that lifted millions out of poverty. The originator won a Nobel prize on that basis.

Wares of many market women and men in Nigeria are not valued up to 10000 naira. How many of the scheme critics don't realise this surprises me. As long as loan value is incremental in and they can sustain repayment by beneficiaries. It will really have a great effect on absolute poverty. I will love to see focus to be on more female beneficiaries.
