Indeed, I said Germany ''lost their African colonies, except Namibia.'' That should tell you they had colonies.

Talking about brutality, Germany was actually the most humane of them all, and that's why they lost their colonies because they didn't rule people into submission with iron hand like Britain. If Germany unleashed the same brutality as Britain and France, you'll probably have been speaking German now. Its for that reason that they maintained Namibia, when they realized to rule the natives, maximum savagery must be unleashed on them to bring them to submission. But it was already late.

The rule of thumb: The more brutal an empire, the more colony they acquired. The more humane an empire, the less colony they acquired.
Germany lost their colonies and even the country was occupied and divided into west and east due to the conquest of hitler after the Second World War.

before we condemn, its good to do a research to know how much electriciry all countries in Africa generate.then cross check with population of nigeria.the more the population, the more electricity is needed to be generated. electricity is not just what you take money and generate within one day.some people just think that we have money and to generate electricity is just a day thing.i think our people need to be educated, electricity production involve lots of money and takes a continuous effort to reach the required production.its bad when some people are trying to build and some people are destroying.just like crude oil production can drop, electricity production can drop through vandalization and sabotage

And what research have you done profhuh The whole world would have been in darkness if they were waiting for Nigeria to generate electricity! mskewwww!!

Indeed we have failed as a country and Nigeria has failed the African continent. Other African countries are supposed to ask Nigeria to come and help them fix their power situation, but here we are. A black man, hardly able to govern himself. The electricity grid we are using today was mainly bequeathed to us by Britain our colonial masters, another European country, with little additions over the years. Shame.
very shameful

Yahoo yahoo Government
guy, it is not about politics. Please grow up. Apc, pdp and all other 3 letter political parties are the same. When you criticized one party this is exactly what politicians want by pitching you against one another. They are all guilty whether APC or PDP. Stop playing politics. You guys are part of Nigeria problems. Why do you think that pdp would have done better if they won recent election?. Were they not in power for 16 yrs?.

I am not in support of all these signings here and there that they have been doing for decades with no reasonable outcome. It is Nigerian govt that is subservient to White supremacy. Why would so called giant of Africa rely on foreign country to fix her electricity problems. Aren't there qualified people in the country?. Isn't enough money to get this electricity problems done decades ago?. If anyone thinks this foreign countries would help Nigeria get over her problems must be in Disney world. This is not about being negative. This is about reality. So these things you were taught from secondary School to masters level. Yet you are not allowed to put what you learned into practice. Instead they invested huge money on foreign nations to help their causes. These foreign countries scam Nigeria through these sham deals.

They lost all their colonies including Namibia in 1918. It's was in Namibia that the German committed genocide.

Useless Continent,They've Wind,Sun,Water and charcoal There's absolutely no reason for any African countries to complain of anything especially of electricity.

Wind Power Turbines,Solar Power Panels would work 365days 247 in any African country.

They'll always wait for the whites to come and do everything for them, why should they Respect You?
A wind turbine with a capacity of 5 MW should provide 2500 households with electricity. But this country is just too corrupt. Even if they decide to invest in those options, money earmarked might end up in some people's pockets.

I don't even know what we can do about corruption. It appears like our own type of corruption is unique grin

Answer one question. Are we any better compared to when we were colonised? Re-colonisation will actually serve most African countries better.

Germany is still in charge in Namibia, and like every other foolish colonized nation in Africa, their official language remains German.

If you think Germany committed genocide in Namibia, wait until you discover what Britain and France did in their colonies. Before Adolf Hitler, before anybody knew of chemical weapons, as far back as the 1817-1920's Britain was already using gas attack and various other chemical weapons against natives in Africa, Middle East and Asia. Millions died.

The history has been cleaned up but some survived. If you're an African and want to get a picture of the brutality Britain unleashed on you, see Africa under colonial domination, 1880-1935 https://unesdoc.unesco.org/in/rest/annotationSVC/DownloadWatermarkedAttachment/attach_import_a3e2c52b-d5f9-46ed-b4e3-824ac3da4282?_=184296engo.pdf
