firstly what I'd do is to tow the ride as is and get a place to park it AND DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING till the seller acknowledges the fault and we find a way to make the deal right without incurring any expense afterwards ....

if one wants to buy a ride for POSE, he should have complete money

if the ride packs up after a few days, have the decency and patience to carry the vehicle, as is, to the seller..... let him see his ride....
(I mean, if u buy a brand new aircraft from Russia, something happened to the craft in Nigeria.... then u get Nigerian technicians to repair it then later fly it to Russia and tell them to take it back...... who will listen to u?)

I also want to believe that calculux wouldnt have shunned him if he had towed that vehicle back to the workshop..... on a flat bed preferably to avoid stories that touch the heart..... it'll cost him extra but his story would be germane and would gather more empathy that way..... since that's his game plan!
