My Experience At The Post Office (advice Needed) by cyberjacker: 11:02pm On Jul 30, 2019
Good day all,
I went to the post office this evening to receive a package I order from Ali express, everything went smoothly but before I left the man who gave me the package told me NEVER TO USE THE POST OFFICE ADDRESS AGAIN that I should use my house address since I don't work there.
My question is was I wrong in using the the nearest post office near my area? I'm so confused please help!

He's right. You should put your address and Google for the zip code of your area. e.g. ikotun is 100265, Ikoyi is 101222 or so. Use it when filling your shipping address when you buy from AliExpress or anywhere. The postal services will send it to the nearest post office for you.
It's no big deal.

It won't be a problem if your street doesn't appear in Google maps.
Most times once the package arrives your nearest post office, they'll call or text you to come pick it up. They'll demand for some little cash depending on the weight of the package. They collected #200 for some small items I ordered. I recommend that you go pick it up soon after they notify you anyway.
Not sure if they'll deliver it to your house, but if they do, the deliveryman will ask you for something. Whatever the amount, price it down, he will add his unofficial fees.... they always do. If you're not home, they'll take it back to the post office and expect you to come for it.
