What a good way to go.

People should pray in their respective homes or churches and come to the market, offices, company, warehouse, public places to obey rules and regulations. shocked

For now, all I do is ignore them. I have told them it isn't part of my job-description, neither does it contribute to the bottom-line.

These folks should think of stopping politicians from asking them to close their shops in event of any political fun fare and not prayers.
Imagine the VP is coming and every one is asked to shut his/her shop

Inasmuch this idea may not go well but i think there's a point banning it. If after all the religious sermons, market traders still rely on false measures, deceit and lies to sell their products, then the messages don't seem meaningful.

Secondly these messages have been hijacked for political and selfish reasons.

Come to onitsha or enugu for example, most drug sellers on transit use prayer before introducing their fake medicines to the audiences.

Good.

All the prayers over the years, what do they all have to show for it? What do Nigerians have to show for prayers all the time?

I pity all the traders who are applauding this move. They haven't seen anything yet. Imagine how bad things are with the very little fear of God many people still have there, then think of what could happen when that small fear of God is taken away. Some people that would have wanted to go and do money rituals have not gone because even though many of them lie and cheat, they still have very little fear of God remaining that is preventing them from doing so. Now you eventually provide a means to remove one thing that regularly reminds them of that fear of God?? If you felt the prayers were being politicised, then what stops you from banning any discussion of politics in any of the prayer meetings, and sanction any trader that violates the rule?

I see a lot of fools in society today who clamour for God to be removed from society. Their foolishness does not make them reckon that if God is completely removed from society, what you have will be chaos and anarchy or total oppression where it becomes survival of the fittest. If you do away with only the 10 commandments from society, it means murder and stealing will become a very normal way of life because there is no fear of God stopping people from doing whatever they like as long as they feel the police are not in sight to catch them. These are common sense things, but foolish people who hate God won't see it

The problem is that the Muslim Friday services occurs right in official working hours, so banning mosques in official organizations is not practical as the government would have to give them holidays instead

Good one! Nigeria and prayers. We always pray without doing the right thing.

Most of our prayer requests centers on our man -made challenges that ordinarily, Our corrupt government should provide for us but we leave the government and face God.

I lived abroad for few years and found out that their prayer intentions are entirely different from ours.

And your brain will not make you ask yourself that if some of these people with all the prayers they pray and small fear of God they have, yet they still cheat and lie in business, what then would they be capable of doing if you remove that tiny fear of God from them? Oh! maybe graduate from just cheating to using people like you to do human sacrifice to 'boost' their business! Do you know how many people in those markets that those constant prayers and preaching have stopped from committing murder just to get richer?? Just hope that someday you won't become a victim of those godless people

I have a very strong dislike for prayers in markets or at business places. It stinks of hypocrisy.

The prime reason for it isn't a love for God or neighbourhood but to either strike or weaken the conscience of the employee from taking any action that may adversely affect the business. The proprietor's primary fear is stealing.

C'mon! Which Daddy fridge? Right from the word go I have never supported the so called prayers. Reason being that the prayers last long, more than necessary. Those who are in Onitsha and have common sense know better. Markets are markets. They are not churches.

For Daddy fridge followers, you guys deserve pity because the implication is you don't have the mental capacity to think for yourself, to think through things. Long before the so-called Daddy fridge started his sick campaigns against churches I had always frowned against the excruciating extortion by churches, especially the Pentecostals. What Daddy fridge is doing is just stupidity. You can't be a public breaker of the word of God and adversary of the church in the name of preaching against tithing and claim to be on the side of God. That is sick.

Those of you asking for a ban on Mosques it seems you are not alright. What does Mosques or Muslims have to do with prayers in the market place. We all know that Muslims don't setup loud speakers or disturb people with loud prayers in market places.

Anambra is a state that has high market potential. Higher than what they're presently enjoying.

Unfortunately, the types of news coming from there discourage people from traveling there.

The crime rate in Onitsha market is unbelievable. Lagos has dealt with its market rats and is now enjoying security and greater business. Anambra too should.

I enjoyed my business trip to the east, my hosts were nice folks.

Lagos markets has a far higher crime rate than onitsha market
